Terrible. Long wait, staff were rude, meat was so dry we could barely chew it. Was in turn from Florida and wanted an original Philly cheesesteak. No time to go to the main restaurant location but this location should be serving the same food. I hope it’s not because it was terrible
A must have if visiting Philadelphia! Delicious Philly steak sandwich, the bread was soft, the meat had good flavor.. I ordered mine with onions and mushrooms, paired with the hot pepper, it was the best!!
1st time in Philly. Had to try Genos and Pats. Both were good. I would recommend Genos. The bread seemed softer and fresher than Pats. I liked the meat better too.
Was worth the stop! We were travelling from NYC to DC and stopped here for lunch! It did not disappoint and really hit the spot!
It says there open till 11pm daily. Went to order a turkey hoagie at 1030pm and was told they close. I said the sign says 11pm. I was told the chef wasnt making anything else. There wasnt any food on the grill and he wasnt making any sandwiches either at 1030pm.

Steaks were ok, nothing impressive, its more the name. Saggy bread. Cheese fries the cheese was too water down didn't stick on the fries. Cash only, How can you have a restaurant and NO BATHROOMS for customers.

Another staple in Philly, I found the price to be about the same as everyone else locally, this is located right across the street from Pats, so we compared the 2 on the same day, Genos had quick enough service, the steak was tender, we got the provolone cheese, fried onions and peppers on top, I would have prefered it with wizz for the future, but overall it was good flavor. The have a few tables outfront to sit at.
One cheesesteak ($14), one Italian hoagie ($14), one bottle of water ($4). The hoagie was good but not the best I've had. The bottle of water (Geno's "own") was large but still pricey. The cheesesteak wasn't the best with few peppers and onions and not the amount of meat one would expect (based on pictures). He was definitely disappointed. No indoor seating (& outdoor seating wasn't serviced that I could tell--fries on the ground and no one coming around to wipe down tables) and no credit cards--cash only-- but service was fairly quick. Been there, done that, don't need to do it again.

Worst cheesesteak I’ve had on my trip to Philly yet.Might try the other location still but this was almost not edible.Should have known when we realized it’s inside a casino though.

Geno's has been on my bucket list for many years. Finally got to visit this past week for lunch. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. 1st, they are not very customer friendly. They only take cash. On the plus side, there is an ATM next door. Second, you have to order your sandwich from one window and pay, then go to another window and order fries and a drink. Also, you can't get a free cup of water, you have to buy a bottle. Third, the condiment stand is behind where you order the fries. The top is slanted, so you can't place your food while you get condiments without it sliding off. No trays were available either. Forth, the steak was ok. Slightly on the dry side. Fries were good. Atmosphere was kinda cool with all the pictures lining the eaves of the roof over the outdoor tables. It was neat to see celebrities without all the makeup. Overall, your local cheesesteak place is probably just as good. Pat's across the street seems to he more customer friendly. Not sure how the food stacks up.
Maybe this was just not my thing. There was huge line - but it was going fast. It was just a sandwich - was too big, too fatty basically nothing special. I was just tasting melted buttery cheese. Didnt worth the trip there for us.
It’s all about a consistently great tasting cheesesteak!!!!
