I ordered the brown stew chicken. The chicken taste like it was cooked yesterday and reheated hard I couldn't even chew it. I will not be going back.

I haven't eaten at this place in two years. I tried the oxtail and it was nasty. The seasoning was bland and tasteless...The cost was $23 for a very undersized serving plus 50 cents for a takeout bag. They also have the front window covered so you can't even see in there. This place is horrible I'll never eat there again.

I used to go to the truck years ago and the food was good. But it's been a long time and never again. Went to the the brick and mortar and was very disappointed. The chicken wings tasted like old fish oil. The wings tasted nothing like chicken. All I tasted was oil and fish. To top it off the covered the fries in a cup of salt. The collards was OK but I'm good on going there again. Wish I could get my money back

I use to like this place but the food has taken a decline. I just brought a chicken platter for 18.50 that was hideous. Do better. Stop serving old burnt mac n cheese. Only thing looked freshly cooked was the CHICKEN.

Order a fish platter with potato salad and rice and peas with oxtail gravy. Paid 18$ and change for it and the rice was filled with gravy and hard to chew. Was not enjoyable plus on the salty side. Fish was okay and potato salad was too but for what I paid was not worth it. Had their food before and was nothing like this.

When I first came to South philly, I was always looking for southern comfort food. Gigi food truck !!! it was always park on 24th st in front of the Ross shopping center. thank God I finally found good , delicious close to home comfort food. he was always nice to ne and MAN the food is so amazing delicious. I always go there and order. since covid , I haven't seen him around, I was so disappointed. now I have thier location. I can't wait to go there. it's kind of a drive for me, but it's worth it.

Like, not everyone has a sodium strict diet.
Then had the audacity to tare apart 3 wings as if it was alot in the player.
For what i paid i could have got 2 wing platters from the Chinese food store

Purchase a Whiting platter from there not only was the wait time long this fish tasted like they cooked it in a bowl of salt ,the mac and cheese was dry all this while you could here arguments in the back Gigi,s use to be good now unless your just don't want to cook go to popeye, s for some chicken.
