We have been coming to this restaurant for years—it’s one of our favorites in Philly. I always get the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, and it has always been perfect. However, yesterday, it was so spicy that it was unbearable. I’m not sure what changed, but could you please bring back the old recipe? :(

Ordered an app and three entrees. The Ricotta app was good and it came with grilled sourdough. The entrees arrived lukewarm and looked as though they had been sitting in the back. Chicken Parm was mediocre at best. It was a tough piece of chicken. Spicy Rigatoni had a nice flavor and was cooked al dente. My husbands Orecchiette pasta with sausage was again mediocre at best. Ordered the Tiramisu cake for dessert and it came out with a candle which was nice because it was my birthday, but the dessert itself was bland. The restaurant is decorated really nice and our server was good. Would we return? Probably not because there are MUCH better Italian restaurants in the city. (Fiorella)

Hostess never let us know the table was ready.
We came a little earlier to try out the bar scene. Bartender tried to talk us out of getting an appetizer bc the servers get angry bc it brings down their check average (in what universe as a guest do I want to hear about check averages? Does the ownership group really care if I spend my money in this seat or 12ft from here in that seat?)
Friend ordered the ny strip (cooked medium) with a side of gnocchi. Steak came out bleeding. Gnocchi never came. Server was apologetic (and super nice the entire time…thank u) and took it back. Brought out another steak. This one was one the low end of med rare. He couldn’t eat it and just wrapped it to go.
Atmosphere was nice but first visit, last visit.
Food was not great! Don't know why this restaurant gets so much hype. I don't recommend.

I was honestly completely let down by this place!! All of the food we ordered was so average, not exaggerating that I can make better. On top of it, the food is so overpriced and we had a very pushy waitress. Only giving a star because of the cozy atmosphere. Little Nonna's is much better!

Very cool restaurant and bar down stairs in center city. The service could have been better, we waited a while for drinks and after our food came out we weren't attended to until we looked finished eating. The hand pulled fresh mootz was excellent. The food was good, a heads up to anyone ordering the sunday gravy is spicy. The sausage, meatball, and sauce are spicy. Not just a couple hot flakes, the sauce has a kick. The tagliatelle off the cheese wheel was excellent. Had some long hots stuffed with sausage that were eh. The sausage wasn't great and the seeds are left in the peppers. The portions are not big, but for the price i guess it evens out. The drinks were outstanding. My pics didn't come out well with the dim lighting but the ambiance is very nice. I would come back for drinks and some fresh mootz.
Very average

Service and food were all excellent. If I am going to make a critique, it would be they would not allow you to add protein to any of the pasta dishes.
Dietary restrictions: They did offer a gluten free pasta

A classy joint that’s good for a drink and an appetizer. The service at the bar is superb. The staff really go out of their way to make sure patrons are having a good experience. They will gladly recommend a wine from the restaurant’s well curated list or mix an unforgettable cocktail. Alas, the food falls short. The linguine fra diavolo, for instance, was an overcooked lump of pasta that was stuck together. For an Italian restaurant, this is almost blasphemous. So, to anyone reading this: stop by for a drink, but satiate your hunger elsewhere.

I loved this restaurant, food was amazing, the ambiance was lovely. And it was huge! Our server was great, I forget his name but he reminded me of a tiny Jalen hurts lol
My only gripe was with the Hostess, she was a young blonde girl. I’m not sure if she was just under a lot of stress but she had an attitude with every interaction and it really was off putting. We were slightly early, and she let us know that we would have to wait until our reservation time, which was alright. But not before giving me the dirtiest once over as I approached the stand, it was very obvious and weird lol. We then waited by the bar, ordered a few drinks and eventually noticed it was 2 minutes past our reservation time. So, We went back to the host stand and asked if our table was ready, and she informed us very sassily and almost under her breath that it wasn’t ready yet while also attempting to sherk responsibility over to the new host that we had not previously spoken to. We went back to the bar and not even a minute later she came to get us by only asking “did you close out your tab” lol not “your tables ready” or anything reminiscent of friendly customer service.
This is an expensive place that I really wanted to try, I don’t expect to be besties with every employee but she was very blatantly rude and gave off mean girl vibes. I run a one-woman business and busy shifts can be hectic, so the time taken to be rude is wasted every time. Especially considering it began at first glance.
Otherwise we had nothing but great experiences, the food, our waiter. 10/10
This hostess was an outlier in an otherwise wonderful dinner.

A fine restaurant! Great value for money. This is a great information restaurant- great for birthdays, anniversaries and any other special occasion.
The food is good value. It is relatively straightforward with generous proportions.
We started with muscles in red sauce and fried calamari. Both were excellent. The red sauce is very good for our entrées. We had the Brandino and chicken Parmesan with a side of gnocchi. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked and seasoned nicely. This paired nicely with some of the cocktails on the menu.
For our desserts, we had the lemon cake with a Amaretto on ice.
As stated before, the food was good value. One thing to note is, you will not be sat at your table until your full party has arrived. This was a little unfortunate as I would’ve gotten a pre-drink we’ve been sat. The overall service was mid to good. It did feel a little disorganized at times. As we were waiting for our table and party to arrive with reservation, We saw a whole family be asked to move mid meal to make room for two smaller parties.
Overall, we had a good experience. The only downside was the service. The restaurant seems to be upscale, however the management was lacking.

My fave place to go for happy hour but unfortunately they fired the best bartender they had, so no longer my favorite. The others are not as personable as Daniel was.

The atmosphere of this place is nice, but since they changed managers or higher management, the service has become absolutely horrific. They take so long to bring any drinks or food to the table and your waiter is never around. More over once they do bring the food. It is usually raw/undercooked. I also have a dairy allergy and they brought me food with cheese on it. Been here 4 times now and had the same experience every time.

Last Friday my wife and myself went here for our anniversary. I made the reservation for 6:30pm. Talked to Dominic about the specific details of us attending and my allergy. He assured us that the server would recieve the detailed information I provided. We came on time, it was crowded. We waited near the bar for one of the hosts to clean and provide us with a table. As a person who has done everything from the front of the house and as well as the back of the house. They surprised me. I looked at the ratings and as well the reviews I came to the conclusion that they were a nice establishment for us to attend our 29th anniversary. Our food was great, we really enjoyed it. Katie our server was very attentive. However, while waiting for our table to become available I watched one of the hostesses clean off the 3rd table on the lefthand side of the bar and proceed to seat us there. The reason the rating is low is because..
1. You knew beforehand hand that it was anniversary.
2. Someone should have placed us somewhere more elegant than bar. ( I watched at least 3 manager walking around, even 1 gave my wife her drink and didn't come to check on people).
They could have asked us to wait for a better seating arrangement because of the nature of our visit.
Hopefully someone will take this honest criticism and use it.
We made the best of what we had that is what we do but for you to know it was an Anniversary you dropped the ball on ambiance. We were very disappointed on that.

I hosted a dinner with 10 clients on a Tuesday night and was completely disappointed. It took about 20 minutes for the staff to even address that we were seated and An additional 20 minutes to get our first round of cocktails. Two of my clients were actually forgotten about and it took at least another 20 minutes to get THOSE cocktails. We ordered appetizers and dinner. The food delivery took an extremely long time. once we were finished with the appetizers, the plates were not removed until the entrées were delivered to the table. The folks that delivered the entrées had no idea what to do or who ordered what. It was ridiculous. I ordered an additional bottle of wine and a handful of wine glasses and it took about 30 minutes and asking five times to actually receive. When I privately addressed the manager, she was zero help. A matter of fact she was rude and unprofessional. I live in Philadelphia and I used to love this restaurant. I’m not sure what happened to it But plenty of other restaurants in the city, so do not waste your time here!
