Solid red gravy Italian restaurant. If he's local to you there's no reason to go to South Philly. The meals are great. Don't bother with the bread.

Needed carbs ahead of the Philly half marathon, so I stopped in here for a solo dinner the night before my race-- had the pollo pesto rigatoni, which was delicious! Really tender chicken and flavorful sauce. Staff was really sweet, I'll be back and will bring a friend next time!

My friend celebrated her 80th birthday here. It was a very nice place; small and intimate. I found it a lovely cozy restaurant and the food was excellent! I highly recommend it especially to those who prefer a personal touch in a restaurant.

The food was totally fresh and light and tasty. My son got the lasagna and we both agreed it was the lightest smoothest lasagna we've ever had. The side veggie medley were full of flavor and sauteed perfectly. The flavor of the chicken piccata was balanced and light, and the chicken was not breaded which I appreciated. The waitress was attentive and kind. It's a BYOB too! A hidden gem for sure. Anne M.

The eggplant was perfect. Not too greasy or bready. Meatballs were fluffy and delicious. Sauce was excellent.

We've been meaning to stop by for quite awhile and we finally made it. We were in the mood for some Italian comfort food. The kitchen is in the center of the room so even though the restaurant was empty when we arrived - whatever was cooking smelled delicious. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We started with Joe the Boss Eggplant Salad - I've been looking for new ways to make eggplant and they nailed it. It was light and fluffy, oddly I've never thought to serve it with salad. The chef gave us a few complimentary hummus crostinis that were delicious. I never order gnocchi- I'm just not a huge fan of their dense doughiness but I took a chance that their red sauce could sway me- and I wasn't wrong- it was good. The chicken parm was on point too. We enjoyed everything and will definitely return. Don't forget it's a BYOB.

Picked up, did not dine in. Orderd chicken marsala with risotto. Good dish. I love risotto but found when inordered as a side, it wasn't as good by itself, a little AL dente / not as creamy for my liking. Partnered with the chicken marsala, the heat of gravy gave the creaminess and softer rice. It's a small spot in a residential area with limited parking, so expect to possibly have to circle the block to find a parking spot. The ambience seems comfortable and not requriing upscale dress. Open kitchen, so u can see your food being prepared from your seat. What I didn't like was that the floor was sticky. However, it was a rainy day and less than an hour before closing when I went. Prior experiences were receipt of food via delivery of Doordash.
