$5 to toast a bagelđ€Ź I wanted a custom bagel with bacon and was sadly disappointed that I couldnât order how I wanted due to food being âprepared in advanceâ. I love the vibe and atmosphere but probably wonât come back if I canât eat what I want. Sadly disappointed

My favorite atmosphere in West Philly for hanging and studying. Tons of natural light and friendly service. Delicious cookies (I just wish they weren't each individually wrapped in plastic -- feels like there are lots of other options).

Review â Green Line CafĂ© (Philadelphia)
Green Line CafĂ© is a cool neighborhood spot known for its really good coffee and relaxed, study-friendly vibe. Itâs the kind of place where you can easily spend a few hours reading, working, or just people-watching with a latte in hand.
I ordered an egg sandwich, which was just okay âthe egg was a bit overcooked, so it lost some of that softness that makes a breakfast sandwich great. The coffee, though, was excellent âsmooth, rich, and perfectly brewed.
The atmosphere is casual and creative, but it definitely attracts a very eclectic crowd, which can sometimes feel a little odd or make the space less cozy depending on whoâs around. The staff at the counter were polite but came off a bit unusual or distant, which made the experience slightly uncomfortable at times. The place also gives off a bit of a âwoke cafĂ©â vibe, which might not be for everyone.
đ Conclusion:
Green Line CafĂ© has great coffee and a chill space to work, but the crowd and overall vibe can be hit or miss depending on what youâre looking for. Worth it for the coffee âmaybe less so for the food or atmosphere.
â Overall rating: 7/10
â Best: the coffee and study-friendly setup.
đł Worst: overcooked egg sandwich and slightly uncomfortable vibe.
đž Price: fair for what it offers.

The egg & cheese tasted good, but nothing special. The eggs looked odd, like they had been purĂ©ed and cooked in a manufactured square shape. But luckily didnât taste manufactured ha ha. Atmosphere was cute but very busy with no line control so people were having a bit of a hard time leaving since the line went out the door. Iced Latte was good!

ordered a bagel w PB to go but turns out that just means they give you pb in a small container and bagel and...you have to smear it? which like alright wtv but it's just startling to have to pay almost $6 for ingredients when the appeal of a cafe for me is that it's made. but tbf I am also partially annoyed that I was in btwn gigs and had to stop to make my bagel sandwich. but ykno. good ambiance, chill spot etc
pineapple coconut muffin and Marrakesh mint tea!

It's the best
The staff here is usually really awesome, but the guy working the counter this morning isnât the best. He charges me for oat milk every time he takes my order despite me clearly saying regular milk (i used to say whole but switched to saying regular by chance he was misunderstanding me). I am not lactose intolerant or vegan, and I prefer whole milk because it is unfortunately more nutritionally dense than oat. I have no reason to spend the extra money on oat. This is an issue with consent, and I hope this guy reads this and reflects. Itâs not cool to repeatedly add charges on to drinks that people didnât order.
Edit: I write this review because this isnât the first and only negative experience I and other people have had with him. These guys will ridicule orders and make negative remarks to customers. Itâs a shame honestly. The ladies and queers who work here are wonderful.
coffee is good. the breakfast burrito is GREAT! Best coffee plus meal to go of the coffee shops in this area.
