Soup, roast pork sandwich, and panna cotta were all outstanding. I haven’t had such delicious roast pork in ages. The sandwich was very large and packed with pork (so I had great leftovers). High Street has some of the city’s best bakery goodies, so I wasn’t surprised that the sandwich roll and bread were exceptional. Lunch service was excellent. Sat at a table for 2, facing the window. With the sun shining in my eyes, it was sometimes hard to see my lunch companion. Although the table seating seemed a bit tight, it was quiet enough for my business meeting. Will definitely return to try other dishes. Am a regular High Street bakery customer but this was my first, non-event lunch at the restaurant.

High Street & Fork are the best in the city. Mindfully sourced, superbly prepared and excellent service. It's my go-to for both business and personal events. My husband and I frequently bring out of town guests and they are always blown away.

Stopped by about 10:30 on a Saturday morning for brunch. Host seated us quickly even though we didn't have a reservation. Food was amazing! Totally worth it. Fresh squeezed OJ is always a great surprise

We were super impressed with the food. From a creative green pea mouse, to an amazingly flavourful squid pasta and soft/chewy crimini mushrooms pizza ... Everything we had made us want to visit again and taste the things we didn't get to have. Oh, and make sure to leave room for desert!!

I'm always looking for a spot to convince me to enjoy a brunch menu. Ultimately, this spot did not do that.
The menu itself seems pretty diverse but as I was looking at it, there was not so much I was interested in. We ultimately went with the Dutch baby and the Caesar salad.
Started off with the Kouign amann, which was lovely. Flaky, good amount of sesame cream. Aesthetically pleasing. We were torn between this and a donut and at the advice of the waitress got this, to our advantage.
The Dutch baby we got because it looked good when someone else did. This was a miss, for sure. The outside was flaky where I feel like it could've been crispy. But the real problem lay in the middle, which was far too eggy (the dough, not the actual egg). The best ingredient was the mushroom, which couldn't really save this dish in the end. And it was physically difficult to eat.
The Caesar salad was nice. There is a LOT going on in it, though. Seeds, cheese, crouton. Very busy salad. What bothered me the most about this are two things: 1) it's hard to justify a Caesar salad without meat that is $17 and then to ask for $6 more to add meat and 2) when we asked why the chicken had to be fried (don't get me wrong the fried chicken was actually really tasty) and why it couldn't be grilled, we were given a kind of shrug answer (who wants a default fried chicken Caesar salad?).
The experience itself was also not the greatest. The food itself took a strangely long time. I imagine it was the Dutch baby as it probably didn't take 40 minutes to make a Caesar salad. We sat at one of the high tops and this may be because I'm on the taller side, but the stools are either too tall or the table is too low, as it was weirdly uncomfortable how much I had to bend over to eat the food.
Ultimately, this place is surrounded by other brunch options and it's so hard to find parking in the area that I wish we had just gone somewhere else.

Dining alone, with a group or on a date, this is a perfectly comfortable, delicious, casual but elegant restaurant. Destination-worthy, award-winning burger was juicy, perfectly-cooked heaven with a pile of skinny fries, grilled onion, and gherkins on the side. Many delicious and creative salads. Vegan and vegetarian options that even carnivores would love. Pricey but bottomless iced tea. Great breads and desserts from their in-house bakery. I shopped next door at their take-away bakery and brought large perfectly sweet pecan bar, exquisite Eclat chocolates, and Taboulleh salad from the cold case back to nearby Pennsylvania Hospital on 8th St to enhance their barebones offerings. (Just a few blocks from Jefferson, also.) A city treasure inside -- but with own outside entrance -- the historic Benjamin Franklin building that was once a famed hotel, now apartments and professional offices with a special events ballroom.
High Street is very high on my list for return visit!
Vegetarian options: Every item made with care, skill, and great ingredients.
Wheelchair accessibility: I don't recall any steps going in or getting to front area tables. Call to confirm.

Brunch at High Street is always a solid choice when you’re in the area. Tried the baked eggs and the warm Dutch baby—both were hearty and hit the spot. The vibe is laid-back, and they’ve got a creative menu that stands out. If you’re looking for something a little different for your weekend brunch, give this spot a try.
