Here's an honest review for anyone who is ordering takeout:Food:1. Fish and grits: Gritz were soupy/very watery and bland tasting (no flavor whatsoever). Fish breading was crispy, and the meat was flaky. When the sauce was added, it didn't really lend anything as the flavor was very faint. Grits also made me I'll, sadly. I had to take time to verify that the source of the issue was the grits, though, so im editing my review now. On the day of my order, I reheated the fish and grits to leave this review. I put the leftovers in the fridge to safely store for later. Later in the day, I had become ill and because I hadn't had anything else in between, I assumed was the cause. To verify, I tried the leftovers again and I became nauseous again. So, I opted to edit this review.2. 'Biscuit' and gravy: biscuit was a flat bread biscuit which was surprising because the website said it was a buttermilk biscuit which gives the idea of a round biscuit to most people and the photo really didn't help to with what to expect; especially given that the buttermilk biscuit photo in the bakery section is a round top biscuit (adding to the confusion). Overall, it tasted ok, though. The website and pickup:Their website said my order would be ready at 10:30 am, so I arrived at that time. The issue with that is the food had been ready for awhile, and they didn't call me to let me know the food was ready well in advance of the 10:30 am quoted pickup time (despite my giving my phone number on the order and they seemed adequately staffed).By the point where I was given my food, it was almost room temp. It was kept in a 'heating' cabinet, but it clearly wasn't working since the food temperature was between 103 and 122 degrees (which indicates the cabinet wasn't heating food/maintaining temperature and that the order had been sitting for awhile).Wheelchair accessibility: Tables are close together and there's a half wall that prevents a wheelchair from being able to enter. You'd likely be seated outside where the tables are on the sidewalk

The food was delicious, I’m still thinking of the French Toast Platter I had a few days ago. Great service and great portions.

Outstanding food and service. I had the chipotle chicken benedicts over pancakes. I wish I had saved a picture. I also highly recommend the country fried steak, which is a massive portion! This place always delivers for a fantastic breakfast or lunch. Plus, it's BYOB. It is one of my go-to places for breakfast in philly.

Great breakfast spot with atmosphere and cozy decor. We sat at the bar. Drank excellent coffee and had excellent service. Friendly and attentive without going overboard. And the food was sublime. Had the breakfast po boy and was on par with anything I've had in New Orleans. Will definitely go back next time we visit Philadelphia.

A hidden gem for breakfast, the customer service is spectacular, you have to wait a little but it's worth it, the food is delicious, the atmosphere, quality of service and food.

Food was good in taste but I got diarrhea both times I visited. Has anyone else experienced this?

Good place doe breakfast in the middle of town. I had the eggs Benedict and it was very good. Coffee is good too, strong bold and hot. Waiter was friendly and checked with us often.Parking: Parking was very difficult to find. This place is in the middle of downtown around construction etc. Not their fault but something to consider for sure.

Went for the first time the other day. Has a fun vintage feel inside. Coffee and food were great. Really liked how they prepared the side sausage. Big portion for the French toast, I left stuffed! Also they have veggie options for their side breakfast meats which is pretty nice to see.

I was so excited to come here just to leave so upset and disappointed. After watching several groups of people sit down, order, eat and leave. My boyfriend and I never received our food and were only checked on after about 35 minutes of waiting. We were told the kitchen “fumbled” and was “backed up” and were being told periodically the food should be coming out. However, after about the 45 minute mark of waiting and still watching several larger tables receive their food that arrived way after we did, our server told us our drinks were taken care of (a coffee and lemonade) and brought out one of our sides of potato towards the end of our wait. However we waited another 10 minutes to just continue seeing other people get their entire meals. Needless to say we were hungry and upset so we gathered our things and approached the lady in front to pay for our drinks since the drinks were not the issue with our experience. I’m not sure if she was the manager or person in charge. But she said she was going to check on the food and went to the kitchen just to come out and tell us that the food is coming up right now. We were already up and upset so we insisted we just wanted to pay for the drinks and go. There was never really a proper apology or solution offered, for whatever the reason was that the food never came out. She just told us our drinks were paid for so we’re good to go if we don’t wanna wait, so we left. Collectively (including the wait time for a table) we spent about 1hour and 30 minutes and our food never came out (excluding the side of potato that was brought out in the last 10 minutes of our waiting). We understand the business and mistakes that can happen however, they say the kitchen fumbled and was backed up but had no issues getting full orders out for all the other tables. Our server was nice, the lady (manager/host person) wasn’t mean, but I wouldn’t say all that helpful either. It’s unfortunate we didn’t get to try the food, it all looked really good (on other people’s tables).
