These cannolis are legendary for a reason!!! Such a crispy shell with decadent filling. For my first time I tried one each of the ricotta and the marscapone, and they were similar but I liked the marscapone better! It felt a little more substantial and creamy. The ricotta cannolis are $6 each and the marscapone ones are $7 each. I also tried one of the almond cookies and it was soooo good. Not too sweet and a really great texture. Their ricotta cookies are also extremely popular and are so soft and melt in your mouth. Next time I come I definitely want to try more of their cookies! Tips: make sure you grab a number when you get inside! They call up customers by number to order. I also noticed you can either order cookies by number or by weight and they'll put them all in a box and weigh them for you. Come early in the day as the line does get longer in the afternoon! I went once on a Saturday at around 11:30 and only had a few people in front of me, but I came again on another Saturday at around 2:30 and waited about 30 minutes with a line out the door! My game plan is usually Angelo's then isgro's for dessert. Can't go wrong.

Having returned to visit Philadelphia since moving away 12 years ago, I came to Isgro with a single-minded purpose: get the Tiramisu cake. And that's what I did, buy 1 cake, two cannoli, and a couple of fluffy pastries filled with marscapone. Somehow I kept untouched in the fridge overnight, took them through airport security, put them in front of me as my personal item on the plane, and had them a day later at home in Chicago. Yes, the cannolis were shaken up and the cake was dented on the side. But my family and I were in a tiramisu-induced high for the next 48 hours. Amazing and better than anything I have ever had from the Italian bakeries in Little Italy New York or Boston's North End. Definitely go here except when I come back again and don't want to wait in line.

Best bakery in Pennsylvania. No question. The cannoli are amazing, the pignoli second to none, sfogliatelle, napoleons, zeppole, you name it they have it and it's great!!

Does not live up to expectations and I’m sad to see that quality has gone down. The best sfogliatelle, but Easter bread was like grocery store danish.

There is Traditional South Philly Neighborhood feel. The line was a block long before the door even opened! We were all talking and sharing family stories. Once inside you took a number and waited eagerly for your number to be called. The display cases were clean and fully stocked with an assortment of baked goods. The girls were moving and grooving behind the xounter attentively listening to your order. Each server repeated back your order clearly and precisely. The flow was steady and smooth. Prices are a little high and not anywhere for you to see but after all it's a treat so it's ok to splurge once in a while in confectionery decadence.
Super small and crowded bakery, the staff was kind. Due to the amount of people I though the wait would be worth it. I ordered three cannolis and a bag of pizzelles. Do not get the cannolis!! The shell was so soft and flavorless, the ricotta was not it either. My friends eclair was good but his brownie was not wat he was expecting. While waiting my number was skipped so I had to flag staff down to order. Personally not worth the wait or price for what I ordered. However, if I were to return I would totally get an eclair or two!
Went here years ago. Best canolli in the city. Perfect place for a tart date.

Like Italian pastries? Go no farther than Isgro's. They just keep getting better. Mascarpone cannolis, next stop Valhalla.Parking: You have to cruise the neighborhood to find parking.
I just tried this bakery for the first time. I grew up in Brooklyn and loved the bakeries there so I was skeptical but I loved the cookies I got from here today.
