Terrific meal at JF. Started with NE Clam Chowder. Big bowl, filled to the top, with hot deliciousness! Finally, a great bowl of winter soup. Entrees were ribs and fried chicken. Both were great comfort food staples. The collard greens and mac&cheese were outstanding accompaniments. Service was great. Restaurant was pretty empty, maybe because it was two days after Christmas? Regardless, Jack's Firehouse delivered exactly the meal we wanted and deserved.

I visited Jack's Firehouse as I recently attended the Park to Broad Taste of Fairmount event.
Jack's Firehouse had featured a few items that I really enjoyed at the event so I wanted to stop in and try them again.

I placed an order for the pulled pork on nacho chips and they did not disappoint!
I also ordered the butter cake to go as that dessert is just absolutely fabulous.

I didn't catch the bartender's...

I’m a huge fan of this quaint gem, directly across the street from Eastern State Penitentiary. The food, service, and atmosphere are fantastic. There is table service, outdoor seating, and a great bar. The complimentary cornbread muffins and cookies are a delightful bonus!
