They were very pleasant and the food was great. I didn't have to wait a long time for them to prepare my meal. That was great because it had been s long day and I just wanted to settle down
I ordered a fried whiting platter with macaroni and cheese and cabbage, with a side of yams. The fish was fried in old oil, making it dark in color, no seasoning at all and I was given greens instead of cabbage. The greens were not good (had them before) and the mac was not good either. The yams tasted like sugar was added and that's it. I spent $24.00 and had a horrible meal. In the trash it went. Never going back again.

THEIR CONFETTI CAKE!!!!🍰🎉 Definitely hit different for all the right reasons!! Moist, dense, sweet, soft.. yum! It’s a must have for me at this point. I now have my select location to satisfy my tastebuds when I’m in need of some moist cake! Initially, I thought the slice was small, but one slice is more than enough for one serving. Thank you Jamillah!!💕

There food has gone down drastically. The fish was wet and greasy, macaroni and cheese was dry and tasted days old. I would not recommend.

Food is not consistent since opening. Want to support due to nostalgia of oroginal historic store. Initally the flavor and quality were close to the original. Now too inconsistent to put out the money/travel to try. Seasoning , preparation and indgrediants of the fish fried rice vary. Sometimes rice is soft, sometimes al dente. Sometimes the vegetables are cooked sometimes taste barely steamed and big chunks. Ratio of fish to rice alao varies. Last time we ordered, there was barely any fish just rice. Seasoning can either be good or barely there. Its a shame .

I wish I could remember the name of the Instagram guy who visited Jamillah’s Garden. I’d like to thank him. I have missed Kevin Parker so much for years now, but I finally found his replacement.
These are the best Collard Greens I’ve ever tasted. That’s because they’re not drowning in the brine. And they don’t taste like “fake” smoke, either. They’re not over seasoned and shouldn’t be. They were sublime. Perfect. It’s just a deeply tasty experience when you put ‘em in your mouth. There’s lots of other sides but my go-to is Mac & cheese along with those greens. It was homemade and tender; no over-baked edges or grease pooling everywhere. It was perfect from the top of the mound all the way down to the bottom. Just cheesy and tender and it had a little punch of something in there spice wise, but not “hot” spicy. This Mac does have a soul. Just deliciously spiced. The chicken was baked not fried. Less guilt for me and I had 4 thighs because I don’t eat legs. The cook wasn’t upset about that request at all. There were no surprises to this chicken but I will say it was all tender and juicy. I even reheated 2 of the thighs next day. They were just as good. I don’t know who can eat the whole platter. I couldn’t. The portions are a LOT and the slab of cornbread wasn’t skimpy either. It was so good.
I won’t ever have room for dessert but they’ve got a lot of choices and the cakes look homemade to me. This was my first time here and I didn’t really know the drill. The girl at the counter was extremely polite, smily and helpful. So was the cook.
It’s a small place and it’s take out only. Curbside parking but I didn’t have any trouble finding a spot, just a few doors down. Jamillah’s has a local crowd and the staff say hello and remember their names. It’s pretty bustling, in and out. I can’t wait to go back. Looks like they’re closed Mondays and Tuesdays. I can’t wait to go back to Jamillah’s Garden.
Amazing food and even better people. The seasoning is spot on, and the staff is exceptionally warm and friendly. I'll definitely be back!

This place really exceeded my expectations.
Everything was good! Really wish I had given them a try sooner.. The fish steak was ahhhhmazing, so much bang for your buck. The wing platter and cornbread also hit. My tiniest dislike was the consistency of the potato salad but it was still tasty.. will be ordering again soon.
