Jaxx truly embodies Philly heart. It is a welcoming, open air, grab what you want from the cooler, meet new friends and neighbors kind of spot. Amazing for watching games or just hanging out any day of the week. The owners and staff have always made us feel so taken care of - so grateful to have Jaxx as our go-to spot

Preferred a cheese steak and fries. Everything was really good. The steak to cheese ratio was well done. They use seeded liscio’s bread, that’s the perfect call. The fries are the crinkle type which are my favorite type. Portions are huge. The patio is nice if not totally scenic. Service was good but feels like they might have been slightly understaffed but I was there around 7 at night. I have a place I will return to again and again. Extremely happy.

Jaxx is my local pub. Historically I’ve always felt like their food is pretty mid, but being so close to me and with their large selection of beer I’ve always wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I’ve eaten here a handful of times, and while it’s nothing special it never has been terrible. Until tonight. I was in a rush tonight and needed to eat something quick, so I reluctantly ordered a roasted pork sandwich- as there are reviews that say it’s very good and the pictures do look appetizing- with broccoli rabe and cheese. But I was extremely let down. Not only was there nothing except roast pork on the sandwich, but it was extremely dry. Definitely not what is advertised or what is normally served. I was very let down, even with my already low expectations. Jaxx is only good for the beer selection. I once believed their food was okay- will get you by in a pinch. But after tonight I will not be eating from them again. Such a let down for a local in the neighborhood who wants to like this place so bad, but they never deliver. I will be calling for a refund. Extremely let down and only giving 2 stars instead of 1 because it’s a local business and it’s good beer selection. Their food needs to step it up.

Best cheesesteak we ate in Philly. Plus a great beer selection and a shaded patio. We couldn’t have asked to stumble across more of a gem.

The lady server has strong attitude and basically was passive aggressive the whole time. She ignored us for a good 15 mins while the store isn't busy at all. Food is great. Sorry for the kitchen crew have to deal with a teammate like that lady. Recommend for pick-up only and avoid her just for the peace of mind.

I thought the roast pork from here was actually excellent, I went in with pretty minor expectations but it was very good. Service here is very laid back, you might need to grab a servers attention if you’re sitting outside cause it seems tough to differentiate who is drinking & eating. That said, our server was nice and it’s a good spot to sit outside. Would be nice to watch a Phils game here.

Our waitress was super nice. The fried food was delicious, it was fried hard. Good for the onion rings, not good for the cheese sticks.
The cheesesteaks lived up to the memories of my sister.
The pork with broccoli rabe is insanely good.

Definitely gonna be on repeat.

The women who provide service, who serve water to men and women, don't treat them well. Is it strange or is it that they don't like my presence?

Went in for a 6 pack the bartender rings me up and immediately prompts the tip screen. Saying he can only ring it up if I select a tip option. Sleazy move.

I opted for spring rolls, they were hot crispy & oily. I decided to do take out because there was a woman who had her dog lying on the outside patio table. Because of this and the fact that parking is super difficult, I won't be returning.

Everyone seems to be reviewing the cheesesteak but don’t sleep on the roast pork sandwich — the balance of flavors with the broccoli rabe and sharp provolone is perfect, as is the bread. Shatteringly crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Great patio, friendly staff, 10/10.

We were recommended this place from a local bartender and he wasn't wrong. You want a good cheese steak, this was the place. We ordered up the Me 19, cheese steak with fried onions and long hots, which came on a sesame bread. The provolone was melted throughout the steak, instead of not melted and just there. I'm just saying Jim's might need to take note. Service was great as well, I would give a shout out to our bartender but I forgot her name. Next time we are back we will be stopping in, in the meantime we will be telling everyone to give it a try.

My favorite local spot. Reasonable prices, great fried foods, and great depth of beer selections. I personally love coming on a nice weather day to watch sporting events and throw back a few slushies.
