Garces is a restaurant that's in the building that I work in, its a fairly new restaurant to the building. This is the only place to eat due to a redevelopment project in the area. Needless to say that I'm always reluctant to go to Garces due to the ever changing prices and menu updates changing so often. I agree its my fault for going back after so many horrible experiences but again its literally nowhere else to eat for lunch in the area. the pics that I'm posting are of Shrimp tempura and a salad on the side. The shrimp were discussing as always but they one of the only seafood options on the menu aside from the extra expensive salmon. The shrimp are full of grease as shown in attached pics. Its enough grease to pour back into a pot to fry more shrimp. One last thing its a cook that's always making faces at me, frowning at me like I'm a pain in his a$$, I don't know the guy and I never have to deal with him. This cook makes it uncomfortably to come to restaurant, I used to bring coworkers down to have lunch, now I get my order and get out of there.

The staff at Garces is amazing. They are very accommodating and the service is top-notch. And the food... so good. I am particularly fond of the Crispy Chicken Sandwich but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Got a crispy chicken sandwich and it was expensive and terrible. The chicken was rubbery, I could not even cut part of it with a knife. I won't be going there again. Fries was good. A friend of mine had the Cubano and he said it was not good as well.

Outstanding service from attentive, courteous, and extremely well informed staff. It is a delightful alternative to anything available in 30th St Station - but the woman who tended to us raised the experience well beyond just the food, which was good. Would return just to be served by her.

Such an amazing finding. The prices are very reasonable and for what you get, really worth it! Same prices as the places in the train station that are now closed for renovation but with an incomparable quality. I’m talking about real food here. Had a super tasty scallop soup and pear salad with salmon. Everything spotless! Wish they were open on weekends or at night.

I didn't know what to expect, small restaurant inside Cira center. I love a good salad and decided to order the salmon salad and it was not like anything I have tasted before. They add pickled onions on it which gives it a kick, definitely a delicious party in my mouth. Went back a week late to order it again.

It was a snowy day and they told us we had to order at register and they would bring us our food. We tried to order draft beers but something was wrong with the system as multiple beers would not pour. Ordered tortilla soup which did have tortilla chips in it but not much else. We also got an eggplant hummus which was tasteless and had terrible looking mint on top. An attempt had been made to add some type of spice to the pita chips but mostly they were greasy. My husband got a smash burger which looked smashed, bun included and was tiny and over cooked. The chips were edible. Very disappointing meal.

Located in the lobby of the Cira Centre it's a solid breakfast choice if you're heading to 30th street station for a train out of town. I ordered ahead of time at 7:20am, as I knew I would be in a time crunch to catch my train, and requested an 8am pickup. The pickup area is behind the coffee bar. At 8am there wasn't anything waiting for me. I waited around and caught the attention of the lone person working the coffee station. They had a line of people so I kept it brief and just asked if I was in the right spot for pick up. They confirmed and I waited. Around 8:10am, I was given the heads up that my order would be up soon. I got it at 8:12am. It was freshly made, had a warm brioche bun, crispy bacon, and delicious eggs. A solid sandwich for $7. However, 12 minutes later than it is supposed to be is a little too long. I ordered the earliest time possible and if you're going to be later than that a warning on the online site would be nice. Also, I did receive a text message confirming my order and my pick up was ready. It came through at 9:05am that my order was received and 9:13am it was ready for pickup. I think their system has some bugs in it.

Located in the Cira Building it provides a moderate meal for those who have to catch a train or working in the building. Nothing outstanding, with the salads the best but suffers from no competition save the fast food in the train station.

We took advantage of University City's restaurant week to try Garces Trading Company near 30th Street Station. The regular menu was VERY reasonable, especially when compared to other restaurants in Philadelphia. Our meal included the cauliflower appetizer (yummy), tortilla soup (very tasty), pasta with a "crab gravy" (red sauce with a lot of crab included; the corn kernels in the sauce were a lovely addition), and a raspberry cake for dessert. Definitely a place worth knowing about, especially given its proximity to the train station. You get a delicious meal at a reasonable price and train watch at the same time.

Such a great catering experience with the Garces Team at Cira Centre! Thank you to Beth and Stephanie and team for flawless catering during my company's business event recently. We discussed the menu in advance, the team was patient with me as I was changing the menu items over and over:), they were very accommodating when it came to budget and offered various options to meet my needs. The service was impeccable. The food was very tasty, great quality and all guests were impressed. Our guests' top picks from the lunch menu were Short Ribs, Vegetable Lasagna, Salmon and hummus.I would also recommend ordering real utensils and plates instead of disposable ones, as it elevates the experience even more.

We got to the Kimmel Center a little early and thought I would grab a quick bowl of soup. We waited and waited and never got the food, so we canceled the order - it was time for the concert. They assured us that the charge was canceled, but a charge appeared on the credit card. I am so, so disappointed.

They opened back up in the Cira Centre and their food has been consistently good since. The burger is the most affordable double smash burger in the area and it comes with a side of delicious homemade chips. Perfect quick lunch spot.

The customers are generally a$$holes but the dedicated staff of GTC take it in stride. Their sandwiches bear the finest ingredients. Their soups hit like a draught from a healing elixir. The salads are reminiscent of a stroll through Eden. I threw caution to the wind and ordered a Cherry-T in the middle of the day on a Thursday, and my work productivity soared through the afternoon. Truly, Garces is a hidden gem propping up a tower of feces.
