Great services, wonderful food. For the roast duck, I would like to rate it one of the best in east coast.

In response to the owner: Creating a $19 menu that is only available to Chinese-speaking people is inappropriate and discriminatory. Businesses should not limit promotions based on language or cultural backgrounds. People from different cultures are able to enjoy other cuisines. The Chinese-speaking menu has way better options and quality than the English one, which is very disappointing. I advise everyone to not dine here.

This was my biggest concern with this restaurant. There was a menu on the back of the happy hour card that was written only in Chinese. I asked the waitress about it and questioned why there wasn’t an English version available. Her first response was that it was “for the Chinese elders”, which is not listed anywhere on the menu by the way. After returning to the table, she added that many people “don’t eat pork or like spicy food.” I explained that spicy food and pork are enjoyed across many cultures, including African cuisines, so that reasoning didn’t make sense to me. Her final explanation was that they simply hadn’t printed an English version yet.

The interaction felt dismissive and inconsistent, which left a bad impression. Beyond that, the overall service was poor. The atmosphere did not feel welcoming, there were no check-ins during the meal, and food was dropped off without any follow-up or engagement from the staff.

If you do not speak Chinese, you are able to use Chatgpt for translation. Philly is a diverse city and does not need any business that is unable to cater to all customers fairly.

Lastly- the food is very underwhelming. The blueberry tao chicken and udon noodles were overcooked. The fried rice was salty. The string beans and wontons were good.

Jiangnan is my go to spot for Peking duck. This time we also tried this spicy chicken dish with bamboo shoot. It’s also soo good. Also, the vibe is great. Good for celebrations, reunion dinner, etc

Probably my favorite fancy spot in Chinatown. The menu is a mix of authentic and American Chinese. The ambiance is really nice, making it a great spot for a date, even during the daytime. I ordered several dishes and enjoyed every single one. They were quite expensive, though.

A friend and I went to dinner here recently and we were thoroughly impressed with the food quality, creativity in recipes and presentation, and the diversity of customers. We ordered a lot because everything that came out was better than the last. I enjoyed the complimentary spicy cabbage for the table. I’m not a fan of cabbage, usually, but this was amazing. I recommend the chicken lettuce wraps, chicken and mushroom soup dumplings, sweet and sour striped bass, and beef lo mein. We had plenty of leftovers and got more than our money’s worth. Customer service was polite and patient, but as they got more crowded they came around significantly less, which wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. When they check on you be prepared to batch order so you can settle in.

The atmosphere wasn’t bad but with everything black it makes me feel as they try to hide imperfections, and the dust is more obvious on black interiors…. The service was good the server was attentive and great with my table.. the food wasn’t as great as people have reviewed it. We ordered 10 dishes and only 2 was good enough out of everything. Cumin lamb was dry, lotus root stuffed sticky rice had mushy texture honey slurred and served cold, smoked pork neck was salty and dry, soup was bland with bleach water taste I wanted to send it back but just said whatever, the snow pea leaf we ordered was super matured it was so tough to chew we sent it back, sweet sour fried eel had no meat just skin, blueberry general tsao was tart and dry, salted jumbo shrimp was pretty good flavor and texture just too much flour, crab meat rice was over priced and heavy but flavor is decent, Peking duck was good but super basic. I appreciate the marketing of establishment to attract people to pay $30 a fried rice or chow fun, but the price and quality doesn’t match.

I went to this establishment Monday 3/9/26. The food was good but the customer service was non-existent. The waiter was on his phone the whole time. He never checked on me, he went outside, I had to flag him down for another drink and check. To my surprise I was charged a tip. This place doesn’t charge for gratuity not sure why my card was charged extra. I will be speak with a supervisor to get refunded and compensated for inconvenience.
