About the 5th time we've been here. 1st time bringing the nieces. Everything was scrumptious but the drinks...on point!!! And Amanda's service was stellar.

We went there under the impression that the restaurant had new owner from friends

Food had no flavor. Server was nice. The place looks like 1975. The kelly brothers let this place go down hill.

A special thanks goes out to Kelly's seafood for a wonderful and delicious dinner party for my 70th Birthday. Not only was the food delicious and outstanding the service was over the top. Thank you Kelly's seafood and staff for a wonderful night.

The waitress was very loud. There were four of us. Three ordered iced tea and I ordered water. She came back with drinks and said who got the water? Then she's pointed out where the sides were on the menu and asked us not to make her tell us b because her voice hurt. When she came with our meals, she went to give them to the table next to us. My parents got a seafood mix and were not offered any cocktail or tater sauce. We had to ask for it. I wanted New England clam chowder which I was told they were out of so I got the Manhattan that was so spicy I couldn't even eat it. She did take that off the bill but the entire experience was horrible. We've been there before but won't be going back any time soon.

We drive past this place quite a bit, but it never really caught our eye as a place we MUST try.
But while looking up seafood restaurants, being in the mood, found that it had decent reviews and decided to go.
The outside of the restaurant is slightly repellant, not because anything is dirty or messy, but it lacks a theme, signage, decor, plants, or any of the things that might draw people in, which is such a shame because there's a LOT to like on the INSIDE!
We were quickly seated and served, got our meals, coffee and dessert, and the prices were fair.
When again we're in the mood for seafood, we're coming back to Kelly's!
If there's anything I'd change from the inside, I'd lose the track lights and a lot of the pictures between pictures. Funny, what they lack on the outside of the restaurant, they more than double-down on the inside of the restaurant.
But based on the food and prices, this place ought to be busier at dinnertime.

We really enjoyed the food and the 'feel' of the restaurant. It is an older place (which could probably use some updating), so it is kind of dark and borderline dingy (excuse the pun), but it wasn't at all unkempt.
The service was excellent. The waitress was knowledgeable, helpful, and just chatty enough to make the whole experience wonderful.
The Piña Coladas were very tasty and VERY STRONG! They have a decent collection of beers on tap and in bottles.
I had the Snapper Soup which was unique and very savory. It has a cinnamon and slightly chocolate flavor, but not at all sweet, and just a tad bit of spiciness to give it a low, slow burning lick. I can see why people come back JUST for this soup. Cooked fresh, in-house daily, you should try it at least once. It does NOT 'taste like chicken', but it's definitely NOT a strong or gamey flavor, if you're worried about what snapper turtle tastes like...
The Buffalo Shrimp, in my opinion, were good... Not great. They were enormous and cooked to perfection, but then just coated with buffalo sauce... Still, it was a good, safe appetizer, and everyone at the table RAVED about how good they were (not too spicy... Low to medium heat).
Half dozen raw clams on the half shell are possibly the best I've ever had. Big, fresh, and presented very well with excellent cocktail sauce. I think they put a little salt and lemon on them before, but they were absolutely delicious!
Salad was average at best, but I wasn't there for the salad...
Broiled seafood combo was excellent. I've read some comments that the seasoning is borderline bland... I would say that they are very light on the seasoning, but only to let the seafood flavor shine. You can always add salt or other spices... Once it's cooked, you can't take those spices (salt) away. Roasted potato wedges were hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. Pepper hash was surprisingly sweet (like a really light cole slaw), not even remotely spicy, and a wonderful counterbalance to the rest of my savory meal.
The Key Lime Pie was the best I've ever had. The pie filling itself was select fully sweet but with just enough acidity and even a slight amount of bitterness from the zest to make this a perfectly prepared pie filling. And then the crust.... Ohh mama... Graham cracker crust... CARAMEUZED... to give it great texture and a tinge of smokiness to round out the whole dessert experience.
Everyone at our table was thrilled with the food - its quality, portion size, and taste. My middle son said the scallops were 'by far, the best (he's) ever had...', and that may be hard to argue. The scallops as we had them across the whole table were big, juicy and perfectly prepared so they were neither under or over cooked.
I will be back to have their crab cakes, which also seem to be quite popular!

Not sure what happen to the food quality.
I was very disappointed.
We did come years ago and had a great time.
Sorry , I will never go back.
The waitress tried her best to make it a nice experience. I realize this was not her fault.
Change your oil. SORRY
Nice local stop. Wonderful service. Food is generally very good. Bacon wrap shrimp are awesome! Great Happy hour menu and prices.
However, on a recent visit the macaroni and cheese that I order often was so disappointing...it was Tasteless!!!! not sure why they changed it??? I hope it is a temporary change?
Otherwise great spot.

Restaurantji Recommends
The food was good, nothing to write home about. The service was friendly and fast. We went kind of early, probably 6:30ish and it wasn’t busy, plenty of open tables but a steady flow of patrons. I would go back and try something else for dinner.

I was hesitant writing a review, because in the past Kelly’s seafood was the best a while back! I never write bad reviews because I always try to make a positive out of a bad situation. This time, not much was positive. We took my mom out to dinner for her birthday. The calamari came out hard as a rock, most of the calamari didn’t even have calamari in it-it was mostly breading that was over cooked. My mom got the lobster, and reminded us of a rubber band with no flavor. The crab cakes were sent back twice (use to be my favorite) they were not cooked (both times) it was basically soup with no crab. We also ordered the salmon bowl dinner and the salmon was literally raw and frozen inside. Everything we pointed out to the waitress she seemed really embarrassed and felt horrible. She did give us a warning and told us not to ever order the cream spinach ( with a nasty look on her face) when we first started to put our order in which we felt was weird. After 5 of our dishes were sent back and not eaten we spent $160 we spent a good amount of money on our meal that we did not eat. I don’t know what happen, maybe a new cook that doesn’t know how prep food?
A definite Gordon Ramsey Kitchen Nightmare candidate. Pretty much everything is out of the freezer pre-prepared or a can. Old fryer oil-flavored Seafood, past due date food items served, brownish green iceberg lettuce "salad", cold pull apart bread rolls, nearly flat draft beer and by far the oddest attempt at Tartar Sauce ever witnessed, sweetened with Sweet Pickle Relish and Sugar... absolutely ghastly. A seriously missed opportunity at providing good food with friendly service in a retro late 50s/early 60s atmosphere apparently still catering to what few elderly regulars remain.

Good food at a fair price.
Awesome service. Heidi and I both had the Broiled Seafood
$33.50
Broiled flounder, scallops, shrimp, steamed clams and king. I opted for mushroom soup and French fries. I also enjoyed the oysters on the half shell with a martini as an appetizer.
