Very disappointing first-time experience at the bar this past Saturday night. A group of friends that came in from out of town were looking forward to getting a few drinks here before our dinner reservations. We were going to a BYOB, so had two (unopened) wine bottles with us. The bartender (without inquiring or simply asking first) aggressively approached us, telling us that we can get out and using profanities completely unprovoked. After mass confusion spread across our faces, he explained that he “knew” we were pouring our *unopened* wine bottles into the drinks we ordered at the bar. Why would we be pouring Pinot grio into the beers we purchased at the bar is beyond me. When he finally realized he was completely wrong, instead of apologizing, he walked away and didn’t look at us for the rest of the night. We were completely uncomfortable and left as soon as we finished our drinks. I worked in the restaurant industry for many years and go to many restaurants and bars, and I’ve never been treated like this before nor would I ever treat anyone else this way. Worst experience and complete and utter disappointment.

Worst jambalaya I ever had. Very very dry- no liquid at all. Like an alien created it. 2 weeks ago.

Seems like a good spot, but they don't keep their online beer menu updated.

Came in for dinner tonight, Monday, knowing exactly what to eat because the food is delicious. We were never greeted and waited standing in the dining room area when we asked to be seated. The place is so dark and the tables next to us were so loud. We could deal with that but our server, tall guy dark hair was so disinterested in our table. He messed up our order 2x, never came back to check on us, never asked if we wanted another drink, and when we flagged him down, he messed up drink order too. He just totally ignored us and we had to get up and ask for check. There were only 3 other tables. The runner girl was so rude and made us feel like we were bothering her. It was the worst service I ever had. The attitude was basically why are you here, I can’t be bothered with you.

You must try their beers "on cask". Cocktails are made with attention to detail, and plenty of love. Best Po-boy sandwich in Philly!
