Excellent food and service. One of the best authentic Indian food restaurants in the area and has been for years. I believe they are about to remodel the dining area.

Very unhygienic and unsafe food
1. Paneer gravy was liquid water mixed with artificial colors. The fingers turned orange and it took a couple of days for the dye color to vanish. This was totally unpalatable
2. Just served us plain rice in the name of Veg biryani
3. Service was pathetic- never bothered to refill water or come to check on us. Got the order wrong- brought wrong item and still charged us for that.

Great good, and fast and friendly service. If you're in the area (and even if you're not), you don't want to deprive yourself of this excellent Indian food!

Update: Just realized they called me a liar essentially. I’m adding the screenshot from my bank showing the transaction. They have no accountability. An apology would have been good but it’s cool. I don’t need it now.

This was my first meal in Philadelphia and I’m disappointed by the service I received. When placing my order I pointed to a specific dish but received something entirely different. When I mentioned the error to another gentleman he was very dismissive and condensing. I had to explain to him three times that what I received was not what I showed the man I dealt with originally. I requested the correct dish which I was then told was not available. Then I requested a refund which he refused. So I settled for the fried rice with chicken and requested that it not be spicy. When I got back to my hotel, lo and behold my dish was SO SPICY with lots of burnt bits inside. After picking out a handful of burnt pieces I was only able to eat 3 or 4 bites before the heat was too much. Sweating and hot chest kind of heat. If I continued it would have triggered my asthma. My food was made with extra pepper out of spite. A complete waste of money. This situation was handled so unprofessionally I would never go back or recommend this place to others. This place is not recommended if you are a novice to Indian dishes because they don’t seem like they care to explain the dishes and when they are faced with questions it seems offense on their end can be easily taken. I bet a lot of the 5 star reviews are fake…

I ordered butter chicken and garlic naan. The butter chicken sauce was a bit thinner than expected but still pretty good, didn’t have any spice and was slightly sweet. It came with plenty of sauce and a small side of rice, the sauce had less chicken than expected, a good amount but not enough for leftovers. The naan comes in just one large piece for $3.79 (online pricing).

I had a very disappointing experience with the management at this restaurant. Communication was extremely poor — staff spoke rudely, showed no willingness to listen to concerns, and even disconnected the phone call while I was still talking. When I asked simple questions, I received delayed or misleading responses. It’s really unfortunate, because good customer service is just as important as the food, and this kind of behavior reflects poorly on the entire establishment. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements in how they treat their customers

One of the most authentic Indian restaurants in the city. The food was absolutely amazing, great flavors, the tandoori chicken was absolutely phenomenal, unlike other places that just throw whatever meat you order in a pre-made sauce and serve it, this place cooks the food fresh and its freshness very evident. The staff as also very welcoming. It’s also very reasonably priced. 10 starts if I could.
