Had a blast at this spot but holy price tag. We ended up having like a $150 lunch for three people. I'm not saying it's not our own fault - we just kept eating and eating and grabbing more sushi plates, but just a word of caution that it adds up fast! Price aside, this is a fun spot with good sushi. Favorites were the Spanish mackerel, the multiple salmon nigiri with extra flavors like garlic ponzu, and the multiple toro varieties. I also liked that they had refreshing watermelon rotating around and a few non sushi options. One cool thing is Kirby, the drink serving robot. You order your drink & the little robot comes out to deliver them. Overall it's a fun location that's pretty busy but doesn't feel like it, and it has a Japanese style arcade upstairs. Beware that the bathroom is like a dungeons & dragons quest to get to.

Going to Kura was the best experience I’ve had in a while. The place was very clean and it was so lively. The robot was so cool and felt like a tv show. The sushi tastes so fresh my favorite was the spicy shrimp tempura roll, golden crunchy roll, and the donuts. I like my experience a lot. Im definitely going again.

BEST restaurant I went to while visiting Philly. I could not believe how many amazing choices there were. My only complaint is that they didn't have yum yum sauce, but the rest of the experience was so fun and absolutely delicious. The restaurant was clean, eating was fast paced, servers were attentive, and the drink delivering robot was so cool! I wish we had somewhere like this back home in West Virginia. Please expand. I've been dreaming of this place since I left Philadelphia the first weekend in March! Highly recommend! I tried so many sushi that I couldn't even name them all. Great for trying things to find out what you like. Forgot to take any photos while I was there, but WOW! AMAZING PLACE!

First three visits were good. #4 was a real letdown. They decided to close an hour early on a Tuesday (most tables were full) but didn't mention that fact when they seated us. The kitchen stopped replenishing the conveyor belt about 15 minutes after we started, and we sat and watched the 90% empty conveyor cycle past us 4 times, optimistic that any minute delicious things would appear. As a robotized operation, there's not many waitstaff to flag. Finally I noticed there was a call button and a server came to brusquely announce that we should finish up. This was my birthday dinner. We asked if we could quickly order from the kitchen and the server said yes, so we hurriedly ordered a few plates of sushi to wolf down. A different waiter came and told us it was too late, the kitchen was actually closed and we had to stop ordering. As he walked away some sushi arrived anyway. All the staff were really focused on clocking out, excited to have a short shift, and pretty oblivious to the experience we were having. We left having had about 2/3rds of a dinner. Giving 2 stars for the industrious drinks robot, and that the sushi is very good. If they decide to serve you.

The conveyor belt sushi is all over Japan. For a novelty in Philly it's good and I would recommend

This is a fun little spot! Is this the best sushi you will ever have? No. However they have a large variety of items that are affordable and consistently tasty! This is a good place to go for sushi and non-sushi lovers alike. I recommend their buttery (texture not name) scallops and umami beef!

I've been dying to go to a revolving sushi bar since I saw them on social media. One issue we ran into was there being a lot of shrimp in many of the items and one of my friends can't eat shrimp. The steak sushi left much to be

The sushi was great, and was a very fun experience! If you order enough sushi you get a video and a gachapon ball with a sushi keychain in it!

I swear I've been throwing "Kura Philly" into Google every other day for this entire year, just waiting...waiting...waiting... Well, good things -- no, incredible things, come to those who wait patiently. Kura has almost everything you would expect from a high-end Japanese restaurant, except they offer it in a casual setting at an extremely reasonable price. Every part of my experience was perfect. Without a shadow of a doubt, I will be back again! Thanks to my waiter James for the excellent introduction, and be sure to try the Hamachi Tataki with Ponzu Oil & Tuna Yukhoe (pictured) which were my faves from this visit!UPDATE 2/16/24 : Just wanted to add, I've been here 4 times now. Last night was just as good as the first visit. Had 12 plates & a hot sake & everything was delicious. Service was on point as well. Paid $67 including tip and couldn't have been happier.

Do NOT order takeout here! I have meeting at 1pm so have to eat at desk. To avoid waiting I ordered at 12pm. I arrived the store at 12:35, and waited for half an hour for a simple Ramen takeout! AND I had to reschedule my meeting for this stupid Ramen. In the meantime I saw Ramen was constantly served to the dine-in tables. They just don’t care about pickup order at all. Don’t bother.
