La Sera is a very nice, cozy restaurant with quick and personable service, and delicious food. I highly recommend it to anybody looking for a relaxed italian dinner. Both indoor and outdoor seating are great options during the summer. The New York strip, bruschetta, and chicken milanese are great options.

This is a 'FIND'! Very well constructed food to a high mainland Italy standard. Good ambiance and service.

This place has the best pasta I’ve tried in the United States. We got the Parpadelle Bolognese and the Gnocchi Genovese. The texture of both the pasta and the gnocchi was perfect, with the pasta being perfectly al dente and the gnocchi being so light and fluffy like pillowy clouds of deliciousness. And the sauces were out of this world delicious and seasoned to perfection. We also got the burrata appetizer special with was good, my only complaint being I felt it could use more oranges for acidity and either less beets or more burrata for a better cheese to topping ratio. This restaurant was also BYOB with no corkage fee. Service was good and you can tell they really care about the food here. I will be back. Hands down the best Italian food I’ve had in the city.

La Sera surprised me in the most effortless way.
I wasn’t even that hungry, but somehow it turned into one of those meals you don’t forget. Every dish felt layered and comforting, like it was made with intention rather than just technique.
There’s something about the atmosphere that makes you slow down without trying—good food, warm energy, and a sense that you’re exactly where you need to be in that moment.
It’s rare to leave a place feeling both full and… lighter. ❤

Great spot for date night or with a group. Dinner was delicious and I’m still thinking about the tiramisu gelato. Something to note, this might be the most efficient byob. We had reservations for a busy Saturday evening. Within minutes after sitting down our bottles of wine were opened and there was bread with olive oil on our table. Our meal was perfectly coursed out. The servers were excellent! The other thing I appreciated was that if you wanted to be in and out in less than an hour, you could easily do that. Or if you wanted to enjoy your company and meal over an extended period of time, you could do that too. There are tons of italian byobs in Philly with great food but La Sera Italiana has both great food AND service. We will definitely be back!

I really enjoyed my time here. The food came out rather quickly when I ordered, and the servers were attentive and kind during the whole process. I especially liked the food. For how good it was it was pretty cheap.

What a great meal and experience tonight! We came in for my mom’s bday. Food was great, we had lobster ravioli (2 orders) , rigatoni bolognese, antipasto, sausage and broccoli rabe, calamari, caprese salads , tiramisu…everything delicious. The team there made the dinner that much better. Allowed us to take our time, lot of great conversation, joked with our probably too loud four top, just an overall great ambience and energy to match our the food. Definitely will be back!

It was our first visit to “nabe” ristorante La Sera Italiana for lunch and we will definitely return. We visited for Restaurant Week 2026 for their $20.00 lunch special. Enjoyed generous-portioned Italian salads and red-sauce pasta and it was delicious. La Sera Italiana was warm, cozy and friendly on a frigid winter's day in January. This is why we always patronize Restaurant Week in Philly—to find these little hidden gems right in our ‘hood!
