Terrible service. Not only did I get my order reluctantly taken, I was told 49 mins later that because they were about to close, the order was never made or taken…. by a thirteen years old boy who claimed nobody else was on the premises but him. Not only is this illegal; I t’s very unprofessional and disappointing as I hungrily sat outside trying to figure out what to eat…there came two employees (who I heard talking when I went to pickup the food to begin with) walking out of the kitchen. The place was dirty and unprofessionally acclimated.
This is the second time that I ordered and was given the wrong order. Today I ordered through Uber eats at the Darby location ( Marshall road)and they gave the driver the wrong order’… when I called to let them know the man on the phone tried to gaslight me into believing I had the right order although I have my receipt of what I ordered and I order potato greens almost everyday.. he told me it’s nothing he can do.. so I’m just out of money with food I don’t want…piss poor customer service
I love coming here for food but what’s the point of calling ahead for pickup if I still have to wait an extra 10 mins?? Also worker at the front needs to move a little faster.

I am not sure if they have their own driver or not, but he is very incompetent and does not follow directions. It’s not hard to deliver food to the airport if you follow the directions and then instead of listening to my directions so he know where to go he argues with me on the phone saying that he’s here, so rude waste of time and a waste of money

this place is a mess
We ordered potato greens, peanut butter soup and red snapper. The potato greens was salty and had chicken bones and a few slivers of meat. With smoke turkey that was salty too. Nor did the greens have any of the flavors normally included. The peanut butter soup had the right flavor but only had beef hoofs and slivers of chopped turkey smoked necks. The snapper was flavorful but on the dry side. This experience occurred at the upper Darby location.

I’ve been coming here for yearssss and I ordered some Jollof rice and lamb yesterday! When I say they haven’t changed not one bit in a great way! Food is still amazing and so tasty!! Thank you for never falling off and still making your food with love!

I would like to first start off by saying the food is good! I have been coming to the establishment since 2018, starting at Marshall Rd then finding Woodland Avenue in 2021because it’s closer. The customer service at Marshall Rd is absolutely more accommodating always have everything on the menu and over all better! I do have a better experience with a few people at Woodland Avenue location but one particular young lady has the worst attitude it’s like when I call and hear her voice on the phone I know not to order! How is it at 12:30/1:00pm you have no lamb/dibi no snapper fish no chicken at all, you just open everything should be fresh and ready to go for your lunch crowd where is the OWNER?! I think I’ll take the extra trip to Marshall Rd from now on they are better when it come to customer service and the food is always available! I asked could the lady in the back take the meat out the egusi because I have had it done before she automatically cut me off “we don’t do that we never do that” I told her the gentleman have asked the lady in the back before for me TWICE and she did it and it was never a problem?! I don’t eat meat I’m confused why such a big deal just take the lid off scoop the meat out add a little more egusi and give me the bowl I’m not asking to pay less I just don’t like the big pieces of meat it takes away from what I want and it’s the egusi! Marshall Rd does it and they did it two times but no lil miss no customer service skills automatically didn’t even ask had an attitude as always even when you call…y’all need to teach her this isn’t her restaurant it’s her job not to take it personal!
Vegetarian options: There are NO vegetarian options like the girl with the small Afro told me and I quote
“Everything comes with meat we do not take anything out for anyone”
Dietary restrictions: If you have dietary restrictions do not come here if the girl with the tiny Afro is here because she won’t substitute! The guy will he has for me a few times

There literally is no better cuisine around that matches the deliciousness of this restaurant. Very nice staff and service. Thank you for the fried fish, egusi and ginger beverage.
