This was a standout meal I had during my time in Philly. Our server (who was charming and cheery) gave excellent descriptions and recommendations. The space was cozy and charming. And the food was incredible. We got the meatballs, the veal, and sacchetti pasta. We went on a Wednesday night and it was full but not noisy. Very highly recommend!

Pasta was pretty good, portions were somewhat on the smaller size. Tiramisu was one of the best ones I’ve ever had.

When you dine at Luna, you are immediately pampered and will have an amazing dining experience. The attentive wait staff all work together while the menu choices are all about fresh and seasonally picked by their lovely owners. The freshest tasting, with delicate flavors abound! Try the mussels, they are to die for! The fresh burrata is creamy and so tasty with the prosciutto and thinly sliced zucchini! Amazing! The fresh and tender octopus is to die for with a delicate almond sauce. Subtle and different. Arugula salad with fresh apple and pear and bits of fig, so yummy, and we are just starting out! The creamy pasta with peas, you have to try is mouth watering, not heavy, light and creamy delicious. Now onto the meat courses. The veal chop and pork chop. Both so amazing! The butcher this comes from is obviously top tier and it shows. The portion is shareable, or you can indulge! The crispy outer edges were like candy on the veal and cooked to perfection with juicy and mouth watering bites. The pork chop is amazing too, with a lemony sauce and broccolini and polenta. Each bite was pink and cooked perfectly and finished off like a lolly pop, both meat dishes are well worth the price and experience. Now for homemade tiramisu, not overpowering kahlua rum, just right coffee flavor, just amazing. And pistachio gelato was such a treat. Hands down better than any stand in line ice cream! Please enjoy, this place is amazing and should be a regular visit!

Visited Luna in a Saturday evening around 7 PM. It was a full house and the staff did not miss a beat. Very attentive! Food was fabulous! Table of 3 shared appetizers, entrees and desserts! Favorite app hands down - the artichokes, entree fav was the seafood fettuccine special but the pork chop was a very close second. All desserts were amazing. Coconut sorbet, peach cobbler and poached pear with sea salt Carmel ice cream were all winners. We will return to the city to visit Luna again for an amazing dining experience!! Many Thanks to the chef, kitchen staff and front of the house staff!! Owner deserves a special shout out as well!!
Food was excellent, service outstanding and the owner is terrific. Can't do enough for you. Great neighborhood restaurant....
Interesting.
Indoor and outdoor seating available. Most of the food I tried here was delicious and I love that it’s BYOB. The pear desert felt like it was missing something or could’ve been more flavorful.

I’ll start by saying I wanted to love Luna. It’s a cute restaurant., BYOB, locally owned.
Sadly, it’s definitely not worth the price.
We started with the burrata appetizer. The burrata was cold and tough, no creamy center. It was basically a hard hunk of mozzarella, with a poorly done balsamic glaze.
For main course had the branzino and orecchiette. The branzino, lentils, and spinach were a bit overcooked but the lemon vinaigrette had a nice flavor. The orecchiette was good, but again the burrata was not creamy at all, but overall tasty.
Service: This was were we were very unimpressed. Our server never told us the specials, wasn’t attentive, and was scrolling on her phone in the dining room. Completely unprofessional. When we were done our meal, which she never checked on us once, we had to ask another server to get her attention so we could get the bill. I had brought in my own small bottle of wine and I had to ask for a wine glass which she never brought to the table until she was delivering the appetizer.
I personally wish we could give half stars since I would rate this a 3.5, but I’ll round up to 4 hoping this was just an “off” night.
We will try them again, but definitely only if we see who the servers are.

My wife and I always enjoy this restaurant. It's BYOB so it saves the cost of having to pay for overpriced wine. Lentils were under cooked, but that can happen anywhere
Skip it! Arugula salad was wilted & tasteless. They did take it off the check, but the grilled octopus was tough, but my husband ate it anyway. He sent back the ink sqid with mussels because the mussels had seen better days. The branzino was fresh but again, tasteless. The service feels rushed & the noise volume is annoying it's so loud. The best thing that I can say about this place is the pear & and caramel gelato is divine and the espresso was hot & flavorful.
Had an awesome meal there. Service was great. Squid ink tagliolini, mussels, and the orecchiette with sausage and eggplant all very good.
BYOB as well. First time there will definitely be back.

Luna BYOB keeps improving and the team is doing great. I ordered the pork chop and it was a 10 out of a 10. I never give a 10 out to a restaurant. The hostess was very charming and very stylish. She was very professional and very friendly. We are looking forward returning to Luna BYOB soon.
