Library bar is one of the better bars in Philly in terms of everything - service, ambiance and cocktail creations.
I heard from the staff they are closing for good on October 31st. I don’t know why the owners/management need to close it and open a stupid steakhouse with another intimate bar. Late evening in Rittenhouse and it was surprisingly quiet. This bar felt like good value, with generous pours that didn't break the bank. Service was efficient, though perhaps a little too brief for my liking. Still, a pleasant stop.
Stopped in with a group of eight for cocktails, and the hospitality was exceptional from the moment we arrived.
Charlie at the hostess stand deserves special recognition. She greeted us with a genuine smile and made us feel welcome right away.
