My mother, daughter and I had the most wonderful afternoon tea here. The staff (in particular AJ!) is so patient and helpful and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious as was the tea. The harp player was superb and even played some Disney tunes for my little one. Its such a beautiful space, especially the garden. The best place in Philly for afternoon tea.
Very enjoyable!
Gorgeous place great high afternoon tea
I had an excellent time! I took my mother to the tea room for some bonding time, and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would definitely come again!
Quite disappointed in this experience. The tea area was very crowded. We were basically shoulder to shoulder with the people beside us, and would have to shout to hear each other amongst the crowd of people. The harpist left 15 minutes into our reservation… it felt like we were the last call at a bar. Most of the attendees were in very casual attire and the class of “high tea” wasn’t prevalent. The tea was fantastic, but the food was subpar. Considerably unenjoyable. For nearly $100 a person (+$30 something to park for 1 hour), it was definitely not worth it.
We went on January 18th for the 12:30 seating. I have gone to a lot of afternoon teas all over the world because I love them. We had a delightful time. The doorman on duty was amazing, and it set the tone for our visit. At first, I was surprised to see that the Mary Cassatt room was not a separate room per se, as it was open to the lobby, but in the end, it didn't matter. The lady setting everything up and the guy helping her were just lovely. They were professional and friendly. The tables were classically set, with white tableclothes and matching china, and the harp player was just perfect. The tea and the presentation of the sandwiches and sweets were nice and we had a lovely view of the garden. I thought it was a well-done tea. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if we had tea strainers to strain the tea ourselves and if we had been offered milk. But overall, I still rate it 5 stars. A tip is if you are driving in and using the hotel's valet parking, ask the tearoom to validate your parking ticket as you will get a discounted rate.
Excellent service. Love the jelly cake!
Came here for mom’s birthday, everything about the afternoon tea experience was top-notch. AJ and his team went above-and-beyond to ensure the experience was a memorable one. Could not recommend enough.

I had a delightful afternoon tea experience. While the food was decent, the selection of teas truly stood out—each one flavorful and aromatic. I do wish they had a way to keep the tea warm for a bit longer, as it cooled after about 30 minutes. That said, a minor issue we encountered was promptly and professionally handled, as you would expect from a high-end hotel. I found the price to be well worth it, considering the impeccable presentation, ambiance, and exceptional service. Such a cute place for a family/friend get together or a weekend brunch date.

This is the only place I've ever done a high-tea session at and it's exactly what I was expecting from a high-tea experience. The teas were exceptional, the accompaniments were delicious, the service was attentive but not smothering, and the room itself provided a nice atmosphere. We also got the tableside matcha add-on and the server that prepared it provided some great insight and background information about the venue as well as provided the one of the best matchas that I've had. Highly recommend for any special occasion

This is a situation of you get what you pay for. From start to finish the Tea Room is a pristine experience with tasty food and great service. You will not leave hungry! The rotating menu includes a plethora of pastries, scones with accoutrements, and quiche with a choice of 4 tea sandwiches and a lovely selection of aromatic teas. I go here for special occasions because I know it will be a memorable experience with my loved ones.

This place was awesome! So cute, such a real tea time. They do have teddy tea for kids, but it books fast. We did regular tea time, and my daughter is 8, and my friends daughter is 3, and they did well. The food is good, dessert delicious, and the tea is Amazing.

Excellent tea room in a fancy hotel. Tasty food and tea. Good service. Was flexible with the reservation. Expensive, but reasonable for a luxury experience.
