Came here for mom’s birthday, everything about the afternoon tea experience was top-notch. AJ and his team went above-and-beyond to ensure the experience was a memorable one. Could not recommend enough.

I had a delightful afternoon tea experience. While the food was decent, the selection of teas truly stood out—each one flavorful and aromatic. I do wish they had a way to keep the tea warm for a bit longer, as it cooled after about 30 minutes. That said, a minor issue we encountered was promptly and professionally handled, as you would expect from a high-end hotel. I found the price to be well worth it, considering the impeccable presentation, ambiance, and exceptional service. Such a cute place for a family/friend get together or a weekend brunch date.

This is the only place I've ever done a high-tea session at and it's exactly what I was expecting from a high-tea experience. The teas were exceptional, the accompaniments were delicious, the service was attentive but not smothering, and the room itself provided a nice atmosphere. We also got the tableside matcha add-on and the server that prepared it provided some great insight and background information about the venue as well as provided the one of the best matchas that I've had. Highly recommend for any special occasion

This is a situation of you get what you pay for. From start to finish the Tea Room is a pristine experience with tasty food and great service. You will not leave hungry! The rotating menu includes a plethora of pastries, scones with accoutrements, and quiche with a choice of 4 tea sandwiches and a lovely selection of aromatic teas. I go here for special occasions because I know it will be a memorable experience with my loved ones.

This place was awesome! So cute, such a real tea time. They do have teddy tea for kids, but it books fast. We did regular tea time, and my daughter is 8, and my friends daughter is 3, and they did well. The food is good, dessert delicious, and the tea is Amazing.

Excellent tea room in a fancy hotel. Tasty food and tea. Good service. Was flexible with the reservation. Expensive, but reasonable for a luxury experience.

I thought the ambiance was perfect for my 13th year old and I to hang out and spend time together on her birthday. The food was ok. I’ve had better sandwiches and scones, but the jams were delish!

Our experience paled in comparison to our prior one. Such a disappointment. Rather than two tiered servers of sweet and savoy, we received one tiered and a plated assortment. Cutting corners is not what you would expect at The Rittenhouse. Service was abysmal. Not attentive at all in the 2+ hours we spent there. After ordering two Rittenhouse Teas, our tea, champagne, plated and tiered server were delivered to the table within 15 minutes. Totally rushed. Afterwards, no one checked on us. No refilling of water glasses, no asking if we needed more hot water for our tea pots, or an additional champagne. We had to signal for service. We asked for a takeaway box and based on what we saw happening with other customers, made sure we asked for bag to put the container in. At our last visit, our take home tea was delivered to the table in bag. Not this time. Two canisters placed on the table. Definitely not living up to the reputation.

Wow! A special addition to a lovely outing with friends. If you are a formal tea person, you will appreciate every aspect of the service, perhaps with the exception of the price. The menu selections, presentation, and service are very well executed. The atmosphere is set with a lovely harpist playing contemporary music rearranged for strings. Very clever. Our heads were bopping along with the tunes. The server was attentive, and the steps to the sunken room make you feel like you are stepping into a special place. For us, the timed seating was too short. We wanted to sit and enjoy the room and music.Caveat emptor- it is a spendy experience.

Ok service and atmosphere, loved that there was a harp player. Slightly worse than mediocre food. The pastries tasted very bland with an overwhelming sweetness but no flavor, and overall the food was very dull and uninspired. Compared to other afternoon teas, this one had a very limited tea selection. Bottom line, for the price I would expect the food to not be as boring.

There were only 2 people working and every table was packed, so the service was very slow.I expected an elevated experience and was left disappointed.
