I normally get my food delivered. Today I did takeout. The service was horrible. The guy who took my order was not very pleasant. I will no longer recommend this restaurant or spend my hard earned money.

The food is really great, the sauces are really good and up to mark, takeout biryani can be sometimes a little dry

Came here for dinner. Got a paneer kati roll. It was pretty good. The white sauce was also good. Hot sauce wasn't my favorite.

Good food. Not too much variety. Pricing is slightly high for what it is, but it's open the for long and is quick and convenient.

Ordered chicken over rice and I got no chicken on the rice and half of the bowl is lettuce. I’m literally eating rice and salad. I called to complain the guy answered the phone just said OK. What kind of service is this?? Regular customer. Dine in all the time… Not coming back.

Ordered biryani - passable but not authentic at all. Also was given a side of lettuce and pita bread that just doesn't go with biryani. Would have preferred more biryani in my takeout container rather than having sides that don't compliment the dish.

Was a huge fan of Masala Kitchen for years and now I don’t know if I can ever eat there again. We ordered 3 Achari Paneer rolls on Saturday, September 7th and upon eating the last roll, discovered multiple metal wires within the paneer. Thankfully, it appears that minimal metal was ingested but it’s clear that Masala Kitchen is not preparing its food in a safe manner and jeopardizing customer health. I contacted the restaurant to inform them of this issue as well. Eat at your own risk.
We are Indian DJs, that get to travel all over America for Indian and Fusion weddings. We are based in Dallas and when we booked another wedding in the East Coast, we started putting a list of places we wanted to eat in Philly.
Many people told us about Masala Kitchen. We were a bit skeptical to try it since we have had so many great Kati Rolls in NY.
Masala Kitchen was great!
We arrived before they even opened and patiently waited outside for 11am so we could enter the restaurant. The person taking our order was friendly and very helpful. I usually ask a series of questions before I order. He answered all my questions and lead us to the chicken Kati Roll section.
We ordered all 3 of the chicken choices. Masala, Keema, and Tawa. They were all good but if I had to rank them it would be Masala, Tawa and then Keema.
The next time we are in Philly, we will be back here for sure.

I got the Paneer platter, just wish it came with more makhni sauce. Over the past months it’s gotten less and less. But delicious still!
Vegetarian options: Get the Paneer platter but ask for extra makhni sauce
