One of my favorite matcha spots to come to!! I would recommend the avocado matcha smoothie, it’s delicious!! It’s like a thicker version of a matcha latte with a really smooth flavor.

would recommend coming here for matcha! i got a large maiko special with matcha and lychee ice cream. the staff were really nice and even offered to give out samples of the ice cream for us to try. overall this is a great place to chill out and hang out with friends. plus they have great taste in jpop and jrock music too.

Ordered a matcha soft serve and was impressed with how flavourful and creamy it was! This place is definitely somewhere matcha lovers should visit, especially after a hot day exploring the city.

The staff was so helpful when I was deciding what I wanted to get off the menu. She didn’t make me feel rushed and she made sure I got some thing that I would like. She was very patient and explain the menu well. The Matcha was very good definitely will go back.

I purchased a Banana Pudding Matcha. When I say this was AMAZING. I truly mean the best match I have ever tasted. The environment was clean. Staff was super friendly. It took maybe 3 minutes to make. Ask for light ice 🤍 you'll thank me later! Lived this place. Will be returning!

Matcha Cafe Maiko is a cozy little tea dessert shop tucked in Philly’s Chinatown — it’s got that clean, minimal Japandi aesthetic that makes you want to linger. The space is small but thoughtfully laid out, with bar seating to the right and a few tables on the left. It’s the kind of place you could chill and work in during slower hours, especially with how quiet it was when we first walked in on a weekday. Not long after, though, a line started forming, so it’s clearly got a well-earned reputation.

Service was polite, quick, and efficient — we ordered and got our items in just a few minutes. I got the jasmine soft serve, which was honestly incredible. Light, floral, and not overly sweet — just a super fragrant, creamy treat that’s perfect on a warm day. We also tried the matcha snow ice, which had a deep, earthy matcha flavor and came topped with sweetened red beans and chewy mochi. The texture of the snow ice was on the chunkier side — more icy shards than fluffy bingsu — so I do wish it had a softer, melt-in-your-mouth feel, but the flavor made up for it.

Everything felt well-crafted and fresh, and the atmosphere made it even better. I’ll definitely be back to try more — the soft serve alone is worth the stop.

I love matcha maiko the seasonal flavors always hit and makes me sad that they aren’t around for longer. the soft serves always hit the spot even in chilly weather. all the employees i have talked to were so nice and helpful! the space is a bit small but i dont mind getting ice cream and taking a stroll around chinatown.

Can get a little crowded due to the small store size, but otherwise is one of my favorite icecream places. The seasonal flavors are great too.

Visited the Philly location. Always the classic place to get matcha sweets and other tea items.

Matcha ice cream was classic! Nice flavor but slightly watery.
