The smart menu is accessible without succumbing to the rote mechanics of too many Philadelphia “Italian” restaurants or employing frivilous innovation. Kitchen execution is solid. With a full house, service was friendly and professional. We never felt rushed or neglected. Pricing is very fair, considering the high quality of food and service. Noise level is very high, but it didn't harm our positive experience.

Great dinner last night at Melograno where I haven’t been for a long time. Happening block. Had a reservation which they honored quickly despite being crowded. Great server, attentive host, and the food was excellent and well priced. We shared appetizers and I had the pappardelle with duck ragu, and it was really delicious: you could tell the noodles were homemade . BYOB makes Melograno even more economical. The downside is the noise level is completely off the charts and hard to hear or talk without shouting. Lots of large parties and younger folks (good for them). I might go back … but on a weekday.
