Odd, unwelcoming manager. Have lived in Fishtown for a year, decided to finally try Middle Child Clubhouse. Wandered in on a Tues, unsure if I just seat myself. The manager-- scruffy beard, green hat-- just told me to get in line to order. Order what? I hadn't seen a menu, did not see any menus available. Wandered over to the empty bar stools. The woman behind the bar was helpful but even as I was ordering the drink the manager came over to look at me and then say something. I was reading a book, sitting at the stool, and the manager kept glancing. Was I too old? Should I have ordered food right away? Made me very uncomfortable.

First time coming here and definitely not the last. There is a line to go in on weekends for brunch, but it moves pretty quickly. The employees are very helpful and accommodating. Do keep in mind that pancakes take more time to come out than other food items. My table ordered around 5 different menu items and all of them tasted great. Wished the frozen coffee was bigger but the taste was perfection. The music was really good. There was plenty of tables to choose from as a lot of people just order take out. Don’t forget to check out their funky toilet seats before you leave.

Look at this pancake and tell me you're not interested!!! You'd be lying. IT'S AMAZING. I had the middle child style and it did not disappoint! Fresh lemonade and iced coffee, latkas, egg sandwich pictured as well and all wete delicious!

Every time I come back to Philly, I crave a sandwich from Middle Child. The last time I visited, I brought my family with me to watch a world cup game. Nick, one of the employees, turned our experience into a memorable one. He was super easy going, welcoming, and even helped accommodate our large party into their private dining area. I didn't even think to ask for this and would've been happy with sitting separately in the dining area, but he insisted our special occasion for being in the city needed a special dining experience. So he got us into the private dining area and the other staff let us add several songs to the queue. This was hands down the best experience I've had here and I will continue to come back whenever I'm in the city. Thank you, MiddleChild for helping make that day even more special for me and my family!

My husband and I made our way through the basic breakfast/lunch menu, had a few seasonal items, and dinner once. There isn't one thing I would change. After a few visits (and a one shoed man first thing in the morning) a few workers remembered us with some laughs as well. Great food, great people, great experience all around.

Middle Child Clubhouse is worth your time. It's best to avoid the weekend if possible (we waited in line for an hour), but Nick was great at informing folks in line about the wait and treated everyone well. The food was 10/10. I had the Surfer sandwich, and the classic pancake was surreal. They do a great job at adding a modern twist to their menu. Would 100% recommend.

My Husband definitely made this a must try. We finally made it a breakfast date! Middle Child Clubhouse in Fishtown. I ordered the classic breakfast sandwich and added spicy mayo apple chicken sausage and avocado. The egg was so fluffy and pillowy, the arugula was so fresh. the whole thing was just perfect. Definitely worth The hype. My husband said the pancake was okay didn’t really live up to the hype. It came out fast, I was genuinely surprised to see how huge my sandwich was. My sandwich was Incredible only disappointment it wasn’t hot.

Light, fluffy, citrus-kissed perfection. Paired with flawless eggs and the most incredible strawberry milk matcha.
This breakfast was a 10/10 experience.

Best toilet seats in Fishtown

Great food and a really cool vibe. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the chocolate cake and the dessert pancake completely stole the show. Both were amazing and worth coming back for. Definitely recommend checking this place out.
