Delicious food served quickly. We ordered the brisket, the brisket cheesesteak, the chicken, ribs, Korean and hot honey chicken wings. For sides we got the beans, Gouda Mac n cheese, Brussel sprouts and corn bread. Would definitely get the cheesesteak and the brisket again!! They have catering options too.

Delicious. Opened the door and was greeted warmly by the staff and smell of BBQ smoke. Best brisket I've had outside of Texas. Creamy mac and cheese. Perfect sweet moist cornbread. Will be back.

Great for people who don’t like food and hate being prepared. We ordered some food to pick up for the holiday and when we got there, they just didn’t have it. No reason given. Just declined to make the order and offered a refund. No notice given, either. Just waited until the end of the day before a holiday when everything is closed. So now we have no food for the holiday and no way to get anything comparable in the time left over. So if you love that kind of outcome, this place is awesome.
Awesome! Food and service!! everything is satisfied.

Mikes BBQ is amazing!! I’ve been coming here for years and every time it blows me away! I ordered the brisket and ribs that was out of this world tender and the chicken was unbelievably moist.
The staff is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about BBQ. If you’re looking for good BBQ in Philly this is the place to go.

The food is not the same here. This place use to be amazing. We would order pounds and pounds of various meats for family get-togethers over the years.
My favorite was always the brisket. About a year ago I ordered some brisket and it was lacking quality and taste. I thought maybe a one off bad day.
I just went today (6/2025) and ordered a pound of brisket. The meat was over cooked and lacking taste. The brisket use to fall apart, this order I needed a knife to cut. The sauce is the only thing that saved the meal slightly. If I didn’t buy the meal myself I would have never thought this was “bbq”.
I googled it and looks like Mike’s was sold in 2023. This is the only thing I can think for the drastic decline in taste and quality over the last few years.
Sad to say but this will be the last visit for myself. With a heavy heart …this is def the death of Philadelphia bbq.

Based on the reviews and their history, l ordered a huge meal to celebrate the birth of my grandson. All of us agreed that everything exceeded our expectations. Thr ribs were excellent and we could have done just fine with only the ribs! But their smoked chicken and ribs, along with the pulled pork wwre great. All the side also, slaw, mac and cheese, beans and especially the brussel sprouts were delicious. And I think their cornbread must just be the best in town. Thank you Mike for making this very special occasion an extra enjoyable event for me and my in law's and my very special son and daughter in law. You were awesome! 😋 Cheers! 🩵

I love this place. The ribs here are amazing and extremely tender. The potato salad was an awesome side and the pickles are a nice compliment to the meal. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend coming here!!

23 dollars for just 6 ribs????? I taught I was going to get truffle infused barbecue sauce for those numbers. I just can’t. And not only were the 6 ribs 23 dollars but the ribs taste subpar. They tasted like an 8 year old made the recipe. I could make better ribs in my stove. Now I think the white people need food awards for their food to taste good. I can’t. I will not return unless they fix the pricing and/or the food quality. I can’t make sense of it. They must be getting ran or something because there’s just no way.

you wouldn't expect to find authentic insanely good BBQ in the middle of south Philly, but here you go!! I've been to the mid west and south and had authentic BBQ and Mike's BBQ is amazing. The Mac and cheese is a must try, brisket cheese steak is the best of both worlds, BBQ and a Philly cheesteak in one. They are always busy but service is always quick. Staff are always friendly. A must try!!!!!!

Was really looking forward to trying Mike’s based on the reviews and lack of bbq in Philly but unfortunately was not impressed. My only thought is maybe they had technical difficulties that day? The food was cold and I swear it was reheated or something, it wasn’t smoky at all but I know that they smoke something there because I drive by all the time. The Mac and cheese was just pasta and melted American cheese and I don’t think the greens were cooked long enough as they were really, really bitter and still tough. The potato salad wasn’t bad though. I doubt I’ll try it again but if I do, I hope that it’s better and today was just a fluke.
brisket was good but the wings i thought were quite tough
