The ribs rub was still saturated on top of the rib not fully done to me I was given the end of the rack of ribs the flat part and they was so small like baby back ribs the BBQ sauce was a no for me sweet and just not it.

Second time this year I was able to come down to this restaurant. First time I got the highly touted brisket cheesesteak which was beyond amazing. Had to try the ribs and Mac n cheese this time. Some of the best ribs I’ve had in recent memory and the mac n cheese was so good I’m addicted! I only wish I lived closer to mikes bbq. The Staff was super cool

The food was amazing the first time I went and that was cause TikTok sent me so the food was fresh but when I just went yesterday the food was mediocre the brisket was cut so thick and had so much fat on it I couldn't even enjoy it but the brisket cheesesteak was still amazing and the sides are NOT my favorite, and the fact that I paid $9 for 1/4 of fat was insane (3 thick slices 😩🤦🏾♀️)

Too much fat on the brisket
l ordered a slab of Ribs, bacon potatoe salad, gouda mac and cheese and collard greens. The Ribs were just okay, nothing to rave about, the gouda mac and cheese had absolutely NO flavor at all. The bacon potatoe salad was HORRIBLE. The collard greens had NO taste. I had to put them in a pot and season them up before I could eat them. I would NEVER buy anything from them again. I spent over 80.00 dollars and if I didn't live so far away I would have taken ALL OF IT BACK AND ASK FOR A REFUND.
Delicious food served quickly. We ordered the brisket, the brisket cheesesteak, the chicken, ribs, Korean and hot honey chicken wings. For sides we got the beans, Gouda Mac n cheese, Brussel sprouts and corn bread. Would definitely get the cheesesteak and the brisket again!! They have catering options too.

Delicious. Opened the door and was greeted warmly by the staff and smell of BBQ smoke. Best brisket I've had outside of Texas. Creamy mac and cheese. Perfect sweet moist cornbread. Will be back.

Great for people who don’t like food and hate being prepared. We ordered some food to pick up for the holiday and when we got there, they just didn’t have it. No reason given. Just declined to make the order and offered a refund. No notice given, either. Just waited until the end of the day before a holiday when everything is closed. So now we have no food for the holiday and no way to get anything comparable in the time left over. So if you love that kind of outcome, this place is awesome.

Mikes BBQ is amazing!! I’ve been coming here for years and every time it blows me away! I ordered the brisket and ribs that was out of this world tender and the chicken was unbelievably moist.
The staff is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about BBQ. If you’re looking for good BBQ in Philly this is the place to go.

The food is not the same here. This place use to be amazing. We would order pounds and pounds of various meats for family get-togethers over the years.
My favorite was always the brisket. About a year ago I ordered some brisket and it was lacking quality and taste. I thought maybe a one off bad day.
I just went today (6/2025) and ordered a pound of brisket. The meat was over cooked and lacking taste. The brisket use to fall apart, this order I needed a knife to cut. The sauce is the only thing that saved the meal slightly. If I didn’t buy the meal myself I would have never thought this was “bbq”.
I googled it and looks like Mike’s was sold in 2023. This is the only thing I can think for the drastic decline in taste and quality over the last few years.
Sad to say but this will be the last visit for myself. With a heavy heart …this is def the death of Philadelphia bbq.
