Ramayana Restaurant Reviews
A hole in a wall place, but absolutely GREAT food, huge portions especially for its price, and very friendly service!!
Lived in Jogja, Indonesia for a year a decade ago. This is the best Indonesian food I’ve had in the U.S. many veggie based options (eggplant, tofu, jackfruit) but unsure if the sauces they’re in are vegetarian/vegan since I didn’t ask. Huge serving size. Great deal. Will be back!

Ramayana Restaurant is a small Indonesian eatery that offers cafeteria-style food with a strong focus on vegetarian options, including tofu, tempeh, jackfruit, and various vegetables. A to-go box with rice and two mains costs $9, while a lunch platter with three dishes is available for $11. The restaurant has limited seating and provides catering services with a rotating menu. They occasionally serve specials of the day, which have been praised for their home-cooked taste and delicious flavors. The beef rendang, a spiced beef stew, has received particular acclaim for being authentic and served food stall-style. This hidden gem is highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Indonesian cuisine without breaking the bank. It is best suited for takeout, and the friendly staff adds to the experience.
