Unassuming local dive with great eats and a solid beer selection. Attracts a regulars kind of crowd but the staff and patrons are more than friendly to all. One of ny favorite destination locations in Philly.
A neighborhood institution for good reason. The food is good and the feel of the the New Wave is enhanced by a nearly endless collection of autographed photos, magazine covers and LP jackets of both local and global sport and entertainment personalities.
Different Cheesesteak #1191. It's a sneaky good cheesesteak. If I were young and hip, I would be a regular at New Wave Cafe. The cheesesteak came with sneaky good French fries. It passed the eye test mostly due to the seeded roll, red peppers, and a big pile of french fries. Provolone cheese. Very well-melted provolone cheese.
