We stayed at a hotel so did take out. They have a large menu. Food is very good. Hubby had penne ala vodka was excellent huge portion. I had the Italiano Chicken over Angel hair also very good big portion. If you like your pasta Al dente tell the that. I like a little chew to my pasta. That's a personal preference. Whenever we get "back home" to Carbondale we always make sure we eat at Nikki's. This visit we ate there twice. Both times we had great food & great service. We will be going back when we visit again this year. We always feel comfortable there & leave feeling full & still have some leftovers for another meal.

This isn’t a formal, high-end, classic Italian restaurant by any means. It’s an old restaurant with a long history that has passed through multiple generations and served decent food to a variety of appreciative clientele over the years. I’m always taken aback, however, whenever I see televisions and bingo screens prominently displayed for all to see, even those well beyond the bar area.
