Had a fantastic meal here last night. They gave us a small taste of focaccia to start; I don't usually eat bread unless it is really special, and I devoured this! As appetizers, I had a delicious corn soup--intense corn flavor, completely smooth, and a few tastes of cornbread and shrimp to make it even more interesting. My husband had a whole wheat pasta with a sardine pesto. I am not a sardine fan, but this was delicious! It did not taste fishy at all, just umami, and it was served with grapes that were a fantastic counterpoint to the savory flavors. I had scallops as a main course and husband had bluefish--both were delicious. The bluefish did not taste strongly oily, like bluefish can--but it was not bland as some white fish can be. They are changing the menu in about 2 weeks to a winter menu, but I imagine it will be just as tasty.
Had a great dinner here, everything was fresh and tasted wonderful, and the server was awesome. Bring a nice bottle of wine and enjoy an excellent meal.
There are a lot of good restaurants on Passyunk and this is a must! Don’t waste your time going to Barcelona wine bar, come support a local home grown operation right down the street!!! The service was impeccable and the style was intense. Each dish had its award winning main character with a great supporting cast. Also don’t miss out on the dessert!!
We should've ran from this place when we had the chance. Our first concern was it was completely empty when we walked in on a Friday night at 6pm. But we wanted to still give 1911 a chance. And seeing how they had such great Rewiews. None of our dishes were good the bread was old, the Scallops taste funny and my boyfriend ordered a Burger Cooked (medium ) instead he received a raw burger. We ended up paying the bill leaving everything on the table and going elsewhere for dinner. The host never asked us if everything was ok? or how were our meals? Let's just say we won't be returning nor giving this place as a recommendation.
Very cool and creative menu with excellent service. Once the word about this place gets out, it’s going to be packed nightly
Had a lovely date night at Nineteen Eleven a few weeks ago. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. And BYOB made it a great value! Would recommend booking a night here for dinner.
Amazing food and amazing service. The chicken may have been the moistest I've ever had, and the Earl Gray panna cotta will change your life. Get down here ASAP and try this place out.
The chefs running this place know how to showcase their ingredients. Just tried the new summer menu, and it was pretty incredible.
Outstanding food all around. Creative dishes with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The tasting menu is excellent! Come hungry with a nice bottle of wine and watch the world go by on Passyunk. What a wonderful way to spend a Friday night!
Fantastic meal!! The restaurant was pretty, the staff was fantastic and the food was perfect! We opted for a la carte, but ordered 5 things between 2 and it was spaced out perfectly. The burrata and beef tartare were delicious and great starters, the pesto spaghetti was soo good (and we eat a lot of pesto) and then the pork chop was perfection (so juicy and flavorful and cooked perfectly) and the scallops were delicious. We were too full for dessert. Can’t wait to go back!

(Translated by Google) Excellent quality. We went during restaurant week and it was a hit. Being BYOB you can bring the bottle of wine you want. The fish was very good and of very good quality and so was the panna cotta. Quality of food and service unbeatable. It is a very small restaurant and the service was very friendly. 100% recommendable(Original)Excelente calidad. 100% recomendable
My husband and I had dinner at 1911 almost 2 weeks ago. We had a fantastic experience. The food was amazing!James, our host and waiter, was the most polite person. He immediately asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions (there weren't, but it was nice to know he is catering to everyone). The sourdough bread is made fresh daily and, as someone who makes my own, was perfect!I included pictures but must apologize because I kept forgetting to take them until half way through eating. After our meal I apologized to chef raffa about this and he said "eat, don't take pictures. " I'd give higher than 5 stars if I could.
Such a great addition to Passyunk. I almost don't want to tell people so we can always have a table! The tasting menu was a great way to try delicious bites of nearly everything we wanted on the menu plus some exciting additions. James was our server - amazing! We will be back soon... with everyone we know!
Delicious food that highlighted local and lesser known/used ingredients. Everything was exceptional including the service
