Food was massive - people complain about the price hike from $10 to $20 but in 2026 any food that people wait for and it's only $20 is a good deal, specially for the amount he gives.
Got a grilled chicken, veggies, falafel and noodles.
Like I said the amount was generous fed 2 people and we were full.
Now the food Chicken was good kind of dry, all had a good char from the grill. I really thought it would have more culinary touch based on what I heard about this spot but it's just smorgasbord of random ingredients and recipes he can put together. Falafel was good more towards the crispy side. Flavor was decent nothing to go crazy about. If I am looking to get fair price food for a good amount and there's a 5min wait then it's a must, but if waiting 30-45 minutes not even worth it. But the amount is generous we had left overs later on.

First time coming to this place after seeing reviews online and I must say this place was phenomenal! It doesn’t look like much, but the food really does speak for itself. It’s no frills $20 cash for a hot plate of delicious food! Yes, cold fruit on a hot plate of noodles doesn’t sound good, but it truly was delicious and all the food was so fresh! There’s no menu and it’s whatever the guy decides to make but it truly was a life changing plate. Highly recommend but definitely come early since he literally cooks a fresh plate for you.

Great service and the owner has great taste. Just know that there is no menu and he basically makes whatever he feels like on his charcoal grill with chicken and falafel. Make sure you bring $20 in cash/person

Haven't been here in a few years, early in the pandemic I was coming here more to support but I went back to cooking for myself. Happened to run an errand nearby at the right time, still so good. $20 is still a bargain got 3 meals out of it

Chef Gus is a master! Blasting Greek music, vibe cooking with smoke filling the street—rain or snow will not stop the lines from forming, only th days he chooses not to show.
🕐 Wait time: 4 people ahead of us, 30 min
My fiance went in college 10 years ago, and now we revisited. Chef Gus still looks the same! and the price has stayed the same for those 10 years at $20 a box
⭐ Food quality: 4/5, you can taste the freshness and feel the passion behind every styrofoam clamshell he hands out. $20 for a boatload of food, enough for two portions. The charcoal and grill marks, the marinade, wow amazing! The quality and love and time and authenticity — worth it.
🔥 Service: with a smile 5/5 and some advice and a lil’ sass. Chef Gustavo looks you in the eye and you know you’re getting a heartfelt serving of authentic Greek food
📍Atmosphere: Along a random street crossroad of 20th and Market, people line the street waiting for their turn at the kiosk. All the patrons were sweet either minding their business or chatting. There is no seating, either pop by a local bench and chow down or BYO fork

Finally had a chance to try this famous cart and it exceeded my expectations! There is no menu and you simply join the line and receive a platter for $20 cash only. Wait time was ~20 minutes with 5 people ahead of me. Platter is hefty and can easily be divided into multiple meals. Some of the best and crunchiest falafel I’ve ever had! The noodles and chicken were both perfectly cooked and seasoned. Absolutely loved it and will definitely be back. Just a warning, not available: plastic bag, napkins, utensils or drinks.

The man knows how to make the best street food, and some of the best food period, in Philadelphia. I wish I could get outside during my lunch break long enough to get a platter, but it's too far
