On Charcoal: Colombian Restaurant

Subpar food, I ordered chorizo; something I regularly get and received God knows what. When I questioned why it looks and taste like kaboski, I was told it's because it's colombian. Apparently, colombian chorizo is different than mexican chorizo.. Completely different tastes and consistency. Chicken and beef pastillas were dry, over cooked and flavorless.

It was good

First time going and I really enjoyed it. The food is amazing and the Colombian culture is really enveloped into the environment. I would definitely recommend and go again!

Me and 2 co-workers went to have some good food. The vibe was good, food was brought to us and we were ready to eat. Unfortunately, my co-worker looks and there is a roach on our table. We immediately told the server and change our table. But we just couldn’t eat. The roach literally walked over the table. We didn’t make a scene but this is not okay. The manager came over and explained that it’s out of their control, she’s sorry and that the get the restaurant gets an exterminator every week. She then proceeds to tell us she will see what she can do. Me and my coworkers told her that we will be leaving and do not want the meal. For her to say she will see what she can do…she should’ve said it will be free at this point. Yuck!!!

This place is exceptional. The waitress was very kind and respectful and had a good knowledge of the menu. She recommended to me the Feijoa juice which was amazing,I also ordered the whole chicken with tostones and fries as a side and it was delicious.

My friends had a good experience as well.They loved their Bandeja paisa,and salmon with vegetables,and Colombian arepas.

The restaurant was very clean as well.

Just found this lovely little Columbian restaurant in NE Phila. The food was amazing! The lemonade with mint was delicious. We loved this restaurant and plan to return.

Just had my first experience. Appetizer was pork belly and potatoes. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Then I shared a combination platter that included steak, sausage, pork belly, rice and beans, and avocado. It’s a huge plate of food and easily shared. I’m adding it to my regular list of best restaurants. This restaurant should be on a different rating system. It’s a true standout.
