Laid back, unpretentious atmosphere, all the servers took good care of us, shout out to upstairs bartender Katie! Steelers Nation upstairs, Eagles everywhere. They carry Strongbow Cider, a favorite of mine. We will be back.

Steelers bar in the heart of Philadelphia. Go upstairs past the Birds fans and you enter a proper spot to cheer for the black and gold(yellow). Good food, good service, go O’ Neals and, go Steelers!

Overall, this place has a lot of potential to be so much more and to make so much more but sadly the service we experience was insulting and subpar. I ended up tagging along with friends on a night out and went with them to check this place out.
I was warned that the karaoke experience is really bad. And honestly, as an avid karaoke goer- not much phases me anymore. Whether it is long lines or just bad sound systems, I generally dont mind it enough to leave a bad review. But when DJ Jerry, their current karaoke host, constantly disrespects people he does not know and treats the ones he sees as regulars with preferential treatment - I think its fair to call it out.
Whether its calling the crowd “b****es and gentlemen”, talking over loudly while people Dj Jerry doesnt know sing, intentionally putting people last in the lineup, bumping up his cronies to an absurd amount or literally screaming at a kind woman next to me who simply wanted to sign up- his hosting, service and even equipment was abysmal.
I will never know if the food is good nor do I think I would ever want to. Dj Jerry did not make me feel welcome and honestly, the rest of my friends and as well as even strangers i did not know. I watch his blatant disrespect for patrons simply bc he thinks himself untouchable. Funny enough- when our whole group of paying patrons leave, we were suddenly called to karaoke. By then, we had enough. No, you cant bribe us with the mic- when the problem is the MC.
You want an actual karaoke experience in Philly with great respectful host, amazing sound quality and atmosphere- i recommend going to National Mechanics every 1st and 3rd Sunday or Bob and Barbaras or Cockatoo. Any other bar in this city is absolutely better than this

Thought I’d give this place another shot, but here we are again, karaoke host rather have his friends sing 3 times before other people and then him singing 2 songs. We got here at 10:30, left at 12 because only one of our friends sang.

All I can say is WOW! What a terrible experience this particular time, after a better one a few days ago. The boomer bartender gave us a very hard look as soon as we walked in the door. I'm clean-cut, and CLEARY middle-aged at 45, and he refused to serve us. He said I look under 30, which is a JOKE. The real problem, I suspect, was that my girlfriend is BROWN. If he's not the owner, he doesn't deserve to work in this city. If he is the owner, screw this place.
