Hold on, I need to romanticize the first time I walked into this cafe last week while I was visiting Philly for the first time from nyc. I walked in at the 6 minute mark of the song "Under the Pressure" by the War on Drugs which felt so dreamy and yet so Philly at the same time. Service was excellent and my chai tea latte was the best I had in Philly. My partner and I had a great time looking at the window and people watching. Always been one of the best places in Philly for coffee, nice vibe, nice patio out back. For some reason post-pandemic they will only give you black coffee in a to-go cup, and won’t make it for you to-stay if you want for example an americano in a Gibraltar glass. No explanation given, they just say it’s their policy, which is confusing (especially if you actually appreciate coffee) and wasteful.

No roast dates on coffee beans. Almost didn’t buy them, but I’m glad I did. I was skeptical that they would be fresh, but they were bubbling and fizzing in my V60. Might’ve just gotten lucky, but as probability dictates, probably not. No, Ox likely sells fresh beans.So then why not list the dates? You already list origin, altitude, varietal, and process.
