No roast dates on coffee beans. Almost didn’t buy them, but I’m glad I did. I was skeptical that they would be fresh, but they were bubbling and fizzing in my V60. Might’ve just gotten lucky, but as probability dictates, probably not. No, Ox likely sells fresh beans. So then why not list the dates? You already list origin, altitude, varietal, and process. Dates are important and this company is at the caliber to add them.Americano was good, espresso was good, drip coffee was good. The folks behind the counter didn’t seem pretentious. Shop has a nice vibe, but is not wheelchair accessible.Overall I’m giving an A- and I will be back next time my proximity in space-time is near.

Cute place! Espresso is solid. Thought it was small, but I didn’t realize there’s a whole back room to sit in.

Hold on, I need to romanticize the first time I walked into this cafe last week while I was visiting Philly for the first time from nyc. I walked in at the 6 minute mark of the song "Under the Pressure" by the War on Drugs which felt so dreamy and yet so Philly at the same time. Service was excellent and my chai tea latte was the best I had in Philly. My partner and I had a great time looking at the window and people watching. For such a hip coffee spot, it was completely unpretentious. You can tell working class locals come here for the bomb coffee but we also saw a hipster or two vibin'. lol in nyc they're everywhere. Such a nice experience. lovely city. Thank you Ox coffee <3

I got a hot chocolate and mocha and wasn't thrilled about either. Both were quite bland, almost watery and lacking the kick of cocoa or caffeine. The baristas are friendly but personally for me Ox just didn't do it.

One of the best iced lattes I’ve had in the city.

Nice little neighborhood coffee shop. Inside has old city vibes, outdoor garden/fire pit is really nice. Coffee is excellent.

Always been one of the best places in Philly for coffee, nice vibe, nice patio out back. For some reason post-pandemic they will only give you black coffee in a to-go cup, and won’t make it for you to-stay if you want for example an americano in a Gibraltar glass. No explanation given, they just say it’s their policy, which is confusing (especially if you actually appreciate coffee) and wasteful.

I first found this decaf coffee at breakfast republic so I found the website and ordered. I'm not tooting my own horn but ever since I posted that review I am unable to get this coffee because it's always sold out. I've tried calling the store but no one ever answers and really need the decaf immediately!! I've called several other breakfast republic's but they aren't selling it and I've checked Amazon and no luck but I check every week to see if it's in stock hopefully one day it will be. Please?

Their latte is absolutely amazing. It is out of my way but after I get it I never regret the extra drive time. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. Definitely worth trying!!

Ox Coffee had a gluten free granola bar option which was really tasty, as well as some non-gluten free pastries. The baristas were so friendly and gave my friend and I great recommendations of things to do in the area since we told them it was our first time in Phillly. Would recommend it to anyone in the Philly area looking for fantastic coffee and great service!

The single best cup of coffee I've had in Philadelphia, and the shop's politics are impeccable--I've seen them supporting picketing unions!
