Paganos has been sold. I didn't believe it last time I was home, but I came home again and the same cooks were in there. They try to make the sandwiches the same way, but NOPE, not happening. So, paganos lost me as a customer. I travel from VA to Philly to visit family n get a cheesesteak from paganos. Bruno's or Max's step up. Can't recommend anything from this place anymore.

They have the best cheesesteaks and hoagies in Philadelphia arguably. They have the best cheesesteaks in uptown Philadelphia period. This is been a staple to the West Oak Lane neighborhood for over 40 years. Although it has changed ownership and the taste is kind of different from years past, you're still getting a high-quality cheesesteak. The reason for four stars is because their flounder Hoagies are disgusting. But this is basically them trying to go outside of the box of what they do which is making great cheesesteaks and Hoagies. Adding the flounder and the wings and the French fries are a new thing they just started doing this maybe 2 years ago. But if you want a good Cheesesteak definitely come here.
