This was my first visit, and I'd been looking forward to trying this place for quite some time — but I was extremely disappointed. The service was very slow. We were seated at 5:30, but our order wasn't taken until after 6:00. A friend in our party had visited back in April and had a much better experience-even had photos that influenced our order-so we were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations. The catfish portion was tiny, and the shrimp were small as well. The only highlight was the plantains, which were delicious. Our waitress didn't seem familiar with the menu. We asked about the Asun, and she told us they didn't have it, so we ordered the suya instead-only to later find out they did have the Asun. The catfish had a strong, fishy taste, and when we asked to have it removed from the bill, we were told no because “we ate too much,” even though the portion was already small. To top it off, there was an unexplained 5% service fee, and the owner or manager wasn't available to clarify. We didn't even order alcohol, so that added fee made no sense. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I wouldn't return.

Went for brunch. You have about 6 items to choose from. Two entries was oxtails and grits and lamp with eggs which i liked. The problem was we couldnt add grits with lamb. I found this strange if they had grits in back for oxtails. Waitress said grits was not a side you could add. We wouldn't have cared to pay extra for side of grits. Mind you, both meals cost the same price. The food was good but portions was small for the price. Left hungry and will not go back or recommend.

It wasn't a good experience, I went Saturday November 1st, 2025 for my Birthday with my best friend. The People there was really loud, the blueberry lemonade taste time kool-aid. For $7-8 that was crazy. They had no to go cups when I asked for a different drink because I was told it be hard to take it off the bill. The server never showed us the tablet with the bill, she didn't want to split checks because she didn't know how. The oxtail taste like it was made in the oven, no real seasoning, pasta could of used more sauce. The food took forever to come out. It was only 2 servers and they were more focused on the large party there at hand. The soda was also flat. 2 star because I was sat right away and the place was nice looking. But small space and not good service. A gentleman offered to help us, supposed to give to go boxes. He said we didn't need the server to get our check, then never came back to help us. The catfish had no bone, taste like it was from a bag, jollof rice okay. I appreciate the candy on the table to snack on because waiting over a hour for food and like 45 minutes for a drink was crazy. The waiter even said the blueberry lemonade not the best choice and taste like medicine. You should of offered a better flavor when i ordered. Wasted my time and money.

Service was bad. Took 2 hours to serve us 3 plates of rice. Our server took our order and then proceeded to clock out leaving us helpless for 30 minutes. Overpriced drinks & convenience fee when it wasn't convenient going at all is insane. Also workers don't have the power to take anything off the bill, had to text the owner to edit items off our receipt that we didn't even want and still charged us. Bad service overall, booked it for my birthday as well. Would never come back realistically, better off cooking at home.

I initially made a reservation through OpenTable for 2:00 PM, only to find out upon arrival that the restaurant doesn't even open until 5:00 PM, a frustrating and wasted drive. When we returned at 5:00 PM, the restaurant was completely empty, yet we were still asked if we had a reservation. Thankfully, I had adjusted my time to 5:00 PM earlier in the day. We were seated promptly and placed our drink orders, the drinks were actually the highlight of the evening. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. I was first told that the restaurant was out of coconut shrimp, one of only seven appetizers on the menu. I then ordered the Puff Puff Medley, only to be told moments later that it, too, was unavailable. Shortly after, the waitress returned to say that coconut shrimp was available after all. While waiting, I could hear the kitchen staff loudly arguing, not exactly a good sign. When the shrimp finally arrived, it was overcooked, freezer-burned, and barely resembled coconut shrimp. Moving on to the entrée, I was told they were out of both the Beef Short Ribs and the Jerk Catfish, only for the waitress to later confirm they did, in fact, have the catfish. My husband ordered it and found it flavorful but extremely salty. I ordered the Rasta Pasta with Salmon, which was disappointing — bland, poorly seasoned, and served with half a portion of salmon. The waitress promised to bring another piece, but it never arrived. I eventually sent the dish back. To my surprise, the bill came to $180 for two people, gratuity automatically included , and the uneaten Rasta Pasta was still on the bill. They did remove it after I pointed it out, but even $170 for the remaining items was excessive, especially given the poor quality of the food. To make matters worse, I watched another table, a party of three who arrived after us, leave shortly after learning that multiple menu items were unavailable. That should have been our second sign to do the same. Stay Away!

We arrived on time and the host seemed confused about where to seat us in spite of minimal people in the restaurant. Once seated we weren't waited in for at least 10 minutes. We then ordered drinks which the waitress repeated back to us several times. We waited another 10 minutes and she came back to repeat the drinks, again! A coupe came in after us and their drinks prior to us. It appeared to be the waitress's friend. We decided to leave without drinks our food. Very poor service!!

Food was amazing, and our server Zaniyah was also amazing and accommodating.

The music was a bit too loud for me, a lot of things on their menu were sold out and they didn’t have takeout containers for leftovers.

Outside of all that, the vibes were still good.

I made reservations for 7pm they try to sit us in these to small space I ask if we can sit somewhere else and the waitress moved us to a better table but when we got to sit down the manager told the waitress they can't sit in a very nasty tone so we got up and left it was unprofessional will never go back there ever again

I went there on a friday. The place its self is cool but very cold and flies were around. I do believe the prices for the food is a little ridiculous due to the potion sizes. Please fix that. There are better places in the city with great potions and pricing. I did had a wonderful server named Z. She kept the vibes going and me sitting there drinking. Place needs better management.

Folks were nice. Service average. The food, surprisingly, was nothing to write home about. They ran out of grilled shrimp. And the frozen coconut shrimp was... not good. We left before an entree.

Bad service they brung wrong order to the table and its very overpriced. sad because it does has potential to be just a chill lil bar but I will never go back they only brought my food to the table than 20 minutes later they brung out my wife's food.

They had only one waiter to run the tables as well as the bar. Waited more than 45 minutes to have my food. Could not even get water or utensils. It has potential but the management can do better to hire more staff for proper customer service.
