Bought a strawberry shortcake for a birthday celebration. Surprise when the box was opened, no strawberries on the top. The inside had a thin layer of strawberry jam (?). I called the bakery and they didn't know what happened and the person on the phone said they would talk to the manager and get back to me. That was a month ago and I haven't heard anything. I guess the Danish Bakery in Rockledge will be our bakery. We have been using Schenk's for over 25 years but no more.

I love this bakery but their sugar free strudel are pathetic they are hollow. You need to put some jelly/jam in them puppies ... and after Schenk's promised to fill them up they're still hollow. Very disappointing

Purchased a cheese babka for Easter, very disappointed. There was no cheese until the center then barely any there also. Won’t be back!

Lovely store, the 2 young ladies who helped me out today was awesome. Their customer service was excellent. Their bakery items are super fresh and delicious. I felt super welcomed soon as I walked in. The store was very clean. I will definitely tell others to support this establishment. Wishing your bakery tons of success:)

I know the ownership recently changed, but please stick with Schenk’s tradition next year for Fassnacht. The doughnuts should be lighter with more traditional cinnamon sugar types, and please make King cake again. This year’s doughnuts were a heavier composition than past year’s and almost seemed stale. From a Judge guy, tradition is 90% of success. Non Excidet

Had wonderful apple pie from them for Thanksgiving!
I asked if they had fresh sticky buns to which the girl behind the counter smirked and said “yes but they’re warm” confused by that I told her I didn’t mind and would take them. She then said sorry I can’t sale the new ones to you I have to get rid of the old ones first. How in the world does that make sense, why would I want to buy something old with MY money. Will not be supporting this business any longer and will be sure to all my friends and family not to as well.

I’ve been a loyal customer of this bakery for over 10 years, visiting almost every weekend, and it breaks my heart to write this review. Since the ownership change, the quality has gone downhill dramatically. I recently purchased a 7-inch vanilla layer cake, hoping to relive the same great experience I’ve always had here. Unfortunately, it was a complete letdown.
The cake itself tasted no better than a boxed supermarket cake dry, bland, and lacking the freshness this bakery was once known for. The icing, which used to be one of their best features, has changed for the worse. It had a texture and flavor that felt mass-produced rather than handmade.
This was my last attempt to hold on to a past memory, but sadly, it’s clear the bakery I once loved no longer exists under the new management. Very disappointing for a place that used to set the standard.
