Silk Way is a Kazakh restaurant with a cute and cozy atmosphere and authentic decor featuring interesting antique pieces. It serves delicious food from across the region, including Central Asian, Russian, Armenian, and Turkish dishes. The food tastes like homemade, fresh, and authentic. Specific dishes praised include the borscht, which is some of the best ever had and has a vegetarian option, as well as the plov, langman, samsa, and eggplant. The samsa is fresh with a good amount of filling, and is flaky and crunchy. The eggplant is perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Everything was good and it is perfect food for a cold day, offering a cozy bowl of soup without leaving the city.
The service is great, wonderful, attentive, warm, kind, and amazing. The staff is super friendly. Portions are generous and prices are good. The restaurant is also BYO. It is an incredible spot where you can see and feel the owners put their heart and soul into everything. It is a place where both Eastern European and American friends all love it. Guests highly recommend it for the ambiance and state they will definitely be back.
