Society Commons Bar & Lounge is located inside the Marriott Old City hotel in Philadelphia. The bar is very beautiful inside and features plenty of seating and lounging for guests and locals. It can get very busy, especially on weekends. The food is very tasty and served promptly. Menu items include the cheesesteak egg rolls, which are delicious and good with a nice crunch, a speciality sausage flatbread, and large salads like the Cobb salad. The seasonal drink, an apple crown old fashioned, is very nice and sweeter than the norm. They also make excellent non-alcoholic cocktails. Service is generally excellent and on point, though one experience noted a bartender who wasn't very attentive. The prices are reasonable for a city hotel. Parking is available via valet, but walking is better if possible. It is a place many would visit again.
