This place was amazing! Really friendly staff, but honestly one of the best bagels I’ve ever had! The vibes were cute and “hustle-y”. Loved this spot!

This location has zero consistency. I go every week. Sometimes it's great, but most days, the quality sucks or there is a line. The last time there was a line, it looked like their computer system was down
All in all, it has really gone downhill. I was excited they offer gluten free options. But it was stale. They also didn't add Cucumber to my order, like I asked for. I paid for it too and when I got to my meeting, the whole idea of walking back there to correct it, didnt fit into my routine. I ate the stale bagel and let it go. I will be walking to the newer bagel shop that opened up, down the street. With the competition in the area happening regardless of what this place does.... my money goes somewhere else. When i am normally loyal. Paying $9 to not get what you ordered, isn't a good look. It reminds me of being with my Ex and being unhappy, over and over again. I give this place 1 star for the smile of the manager today. And I'm dumping my bagel place, just like my Ex ?
Placed a to-go order for a toasted bagel with scallion cream cheese and when I opened it up at home, I got something that looks burnt on one side. Doesn’t taste great. Disappointed.
I’ve been to a different Spread location before and loved it. I took a risk despite the low reviews but I can see why now.
Also, they’re not a wheelchair accessible location.

Slow, terrible service. Disrespectful and very rude guy taking my order.

A small step above Trader Joe’s or Costco bagels, these are basically bread in the shape of a bagel. Montreal style these ain’t - and the cream cheese is likely not very high quality based on the texture. I don’t feel I got even $5 worth here. Pass. Go to Vanilya, or make your own bagels. They’ll be more fun and better.
Additionally, service sucks here. Surly, and everyone seems unhappy. Perhaps the management needs a rethink.
Today I bought an avocado bagel. Very tasty, fresh bagel. But I want to say a special thank you for the staff. My English is bad. But this morning the man pulled out all the milk for me and showed me to choose, asked for a bagel and also showed it. This kind of service deserves respect. His attentiveness is admirable. Thanks a lot! I definitely recommend this place!

I’ve stopped by for breakfast a few times. Great breakfast sandwich but seems like you’re bothering employees to order there. Has a small seating area with stools and a couch as you wait. Would recommend for delivery or takeout only.

I am a big fan of spread. I frequented the rittenhouse and university city locations back when those were the only ones and was always satisfied with the food. To this day I still enjoy their bagels from time to time. Today I visited the 16th location for the first time. As soon as I walked in I was met with a look from the 4 staff behind the counter who shared a look of irritation with each other almost as if my presence walking in was an inconvenience to them. When I ordered my food the lady taking my order was not listening and misprinted my order to which I then corrected her which she seemed annoyed about. I didn’t hear her the first time she asked me “are you eating here?” Which I eventually replied “yes”. I heard her sigh and give her coworker another *look*. She handed me my sandwich which was wrapped up to go although she asked me if I was eating here so I was expecting a tray but that’s not a big deal. I felt super uncomfortable here like I was not welcomed. I get that workers want to leave work at the end of the day but making customers feel unwelcome just because you are closing (it was actually an hour and half before they were supposed to close @2:30 when I came) is very discouraging. I will not return to this location in the future.

I love Spread. I think the whole wheat everything is arguably the best bagel ever. I have had occasional order substitution issues when ordering batches of bagels...and then discovered after getting home..so check your bag. I think that is due to the high employee turnover. But everything is excellent.

My second time coming here. First time the food was mediocre. This time it was top of the line. Absolutely delicious. Giving it 4 stars for the inconsistency, but overall really

Each time I placed an order through the website for delivery my item is missing. Each time I called and notified them of this I was told I will be refunded for the missing items and I have never received it. I ordered A egg sandwich, coffee and water and I only got the sandwich which was extremely sloppy and all the components leaked. I threw it away! Yesterday will be the last day I ever spend a dime with this place. Zero stars this place deserves!

I tried the rosemary olive oil bagel with nova lox spread and my husband had a chocolate chip with cream cheese. First thing first my nose led me there. The customer service is amazing. The rosemary olive oil bagel was to die for so much so I had to take one home. Definitely recommend for anyone staying near Rittenhouse Square.
