Sueño is a Mexican restaurant in downtown Philly, close to the Marriott Hotel. The ambiance sets the mood for a Mexican picnic with a bar. Upstairs dining, friendly waiters, and fabulous drinks make the experience enjoyable. The hot food is delicious with great presentation. The two-story structure can make service slow, but the servers are great. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible on the 1st floor. While prices may be a bit high for the food, the overall experience at Sueño is worth it. The queso fundido is served with tortillas and chips, both fresh and tasty, though it is not as saucy and could include more chorizo for the price. Food prices are very reasonable, and the street corn salad is highly recommended. Drinks, especially margaritas made with prepared juices, are not as refined as expected and could be improved. The atmosphere is fun and vibey, although a little darker in lighting. Service can sometimes be slow or inattentive, especially if the restaurant is less busy, but overall, many customers find the food delicious, filling, and worth returning for.
