Chance was amazing, good and service were amazing. You couldn't ask for better service and a more passionate chef about what he does. You can feel it in every dish. This is a must hit in philly
Excellent food, terrific all around. Biggest issue for us was the wall unit heating temps in the restaurant...it was stifling and very uncomfortable. Small place requires special attention in the winter, understandable, but they weren't able to find a happy medium during our meal, sadly it wasn't gauged well enough. Hopefully they'll take a look and adjust
Amazing experience from start to finish. Santana was an incredible server and was so attentive. The food was incredible!
The food was dependable Philipino food, we got the appetizer sampler, chicken adobo, pork sisig, turon and the pandan cheesecake. As for food portions, my partner and I were fed well. We chose small for the chicken adobo and large for the sisig. We received the largest chicken quarter I've ever seen, it was barely contained in the serving plate. My partner liked the chicken adobo, but disliked the sisig as he found it had too much lime. I'm a fan of lime and preferred the sisig over the chicken adobo. Loved the desserts. Its worth to mention that the banana leaf is a more pronounced flavor on the cheesecake than the pandan, which I personally enjoyed. From the appetizers, the lumpia and Caesar salad were clear standouts. The chicken wings were ok and don't feel necessary if you get the chicken adobo. The manager tended to us and efficiently handled service and brought us glasses for our wine. The dining area felt a bit crowded, especially near the bar. Some may call the vibe a bit more intimate. To go to the restroom you have to walk out and around the building, which is not ideal during the colder months or rainy weather.
a nice, family owned neighbourhood restaurant, seems very popular; the food is average, and portions are really small. I order an entree with pork with rice. Both the pork and the rice were not hot, just warm. For a cold winter evening, this is not ideal. The table I was sitting was next to the door, so each time someone walked in or walked out, I felt the cold wind. To use the restroom, you need to walk out of the restaurant and then walked to the back. It is not very convienent. Overall, the experience is just average. I am not sure if I would go again.
We ordered the tasting menu and there were literally no misses - everything was incredibly delicious! The only very nitpicky feedback I have about ambiance is that it was really really bright in the restaurant. When it's such a small space and everyone is so close together, the bright light is a little too harsh. Definitely recommend this restaurant, we will be back!
Food is good--really enjoyed the spaghetti and laing. I do feel the portion is small for the price we pay, and the main dish can be a bit too salty. Garlic rice also isn't worth it--rice is very hard and the garlic doesnt really add much.
While I was quite excited to sample the Philippine cuisine, I found the menu to be too limited, which ultimately kept us from feeling like we got the full experience. The primary issue was the pork entree, which was excessively salty; we had to leave more than half the plate untouched. On a positive note, the chicken entree we ordered was very good
Authentic Filipino food and packed with flavor. Greeted by the chef who was extremely passionate about about his craft at his work. Highly recommend.
Modern Filipino food, very good. Small menu. BYOB. Classic small restaurant Philly restaurant.

Good food not great. Cozy atmosphere. Staff is hit or miss. Some great and others with attitude.
Went for our anniversary. Food was so delicious! Server was very nice but didn't take time to explain the basics of the menu or provide recommendations until asked. And as noted on their website, they have a time-limit for diners which contributes to a slightly rushed feeling, especially if you are arrived a little late like we did. However the food came out quickly so we still finished before our “deadline.” The ambiance is cool but you sit very close to other diners and accessing the bathroom requires leaving the restaurant - no biggie but just odd. I'd definitely return for the food, but maybe not for a special occasion where I'm looking for a more leisurely experience/more intimate setting (or at least if I'm looking to have a more intimate-feeling table with my date rather than intimacy with other diners). However I get that the restaurant industry is brutal so I recognize that having time limits/squeezing more people in is probably necessary to make ends meet, especially since the food is very affordable and really yummy.
My family and I had a lovely experience dining at Tabachoy. The staff were helpful walking us through the menu and what to expect as far as portions. They helped answer questions about items on the menu. We enjoyed a lot of the food on the menu, my personal favorite is the caesar salad. I'm sure we will be back soon.
Overall a good dining experience. 4-stars out of 5. My wife and I ordered the starter sampler platter, the adobo, and the sisig. All of those items were good. The Uber sundae we ordered for dessert felt was the star of the show.
Great food and vibes
