Tambayan Reviews
This market was such an experience! I highly recommend. The food was beyond amazing we had, the pretzels, Cajun food, cheese steaks, oysters and more. The people were friendly and the atmosphere was great.
Friendly owner. Food is okay but would like to advise not to put fried plantain on halo halo and if you want to, please dice it smaller so it will be appetizing.
I rarely post any review but the experience was so bad I felt I have to voice my disappointment.
I used the TooGoodToGo to try this place, and it was a huge regret. They only gave you a small container compared to other place that gives you so much for the same deal.
My 2 “surprised” bags were 1 for the rice with sausage and the other was clear noodle. The rice was uncooked, the sausage was very dry. The noodle was just vegetable and very soggy. I don’t mind if...read full review

Tambayan is a traditional Filipino restaurant located in the heart of the bustling Reading Terminal Market. The menu offers a delightful array of authentic Filipino dishes, including the popular Menudo stew, BBQ pork skewers, and the beloved pancit noodles. The star of the show, however, is the pandesal, a sweet bread roll filled with savory cheese that is a must-try for all visitors. Many customers are happy to find a Filipino spot in the market, and they often comment on how the food tastes just like home, with some ordering dishes like pancit, BBQ chicken, lumpia, and caldereta. The restaurant is known for its friendly and attentive staff who create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Portions are generous, and the food is described as authentic and very tasty. The Embutido, a pork meatloaf log with rice and smoky sauce, is a favorite, as well as the ube desserts, including ube soft serve and ube macaroon, which many say are not too sweet and delicious. The mango/ube swirl soft serve has been praised for being superb. The halo-halo, a traditional Filipino dessert, has received mixed reviews, but the ube latte and macarons are seen as delightful surprises. Overall, Tambayan is a great destination for those wanting to enjoy authentic Filipino cuisine in a lively setting with friendly staff and fantastic food.
