Seems like a nice spot and I've heard drinks are good. I think feedback is important for a business owner. I asked for a grilled chicken Caesar salad. It cost $16.20, my chicken was not grilled, there was not a lot of it and on top of that I ordered it to go and didn't get a fork knife or even a napkin. The dressing was like no Caesar dressing I have ever tasted it was chunky I thought it was bad but maybe not. I ate the salad without it.So yeah for a $16.20 to go order k don't think it was a good value at all and had to figure out how to eat it!I may come back but Please do better!

What an amazing little place in the middle of the neighborhood. The food was great, the bartenders were attentive, the clientele was respectful. A mixed crowd of families, singles and couples scattered the place on a Sunday afternoon.Drinks and food were well priced too.You should go here!

Great local bar with solid food options and quality service. The Rook burger with sweet potato fries is the best thing on the menu. Cheesesteak egg rolls certainly need some more love though, fry and lacking flavor. The chicken inside of them seem to not be the most fresh. Cocktails are a bit expensive, don’t always pack a punch, but are generally pretty solid. Overall, the best local bar on this side of Manayunk. May have to pay up a bit more than other neighborhood spots but for the most part it’s worth it - Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Awesome staff, comfy interior, OK food that could be great if they tried a little. Ordered wings and 1 was fresh and the rest were DESSICATED. Seriously the meat was so dry it pulled off like a splinter of wood. I think they may have been old and re-cooked bc they weren't over cooked or burned, just dry as dust. Baked brie was a great concept but bland. For the price you could at least go to a cheese monger and get double or triple cream. Sandwiches were meh. Not bad but not great. Whatever you are doing to the wings, stop it.

Great place to watch a game or grab lunch/dinner! Their sandwiches are incredible, the chicken parm is delicious. The burgers are also incredible, I'm more of a fan of a west coast style burger and they absolutely kill it. Fries are delicious as well. This place gets busy during game times (rightfully so) so I'd arrive early for sure. One thing I'd love for them to improve is more options on tap but other than that I cant complain!

Grabbed martinis at the Rook to round out our first evening while staying in Manayunk. Drinks were tasty and strong, service was fast, and Christmas vibes were nice. Would come back.

Sat here for well over an hour waiting for our food we ordered. 6 tables who arrived after we did were served their food promptly. Absolutely Ridiculous. Waitress was nice definitely not her fault. Drink was also good.

I had been for lunch and it was pleasant. Our dinner was not. I can excuse the loud engagement party cause engagement parties are loud. No problem. I'm a full time musician who works events like that.My problem is the food and kitchen. My girlfriend's sister was hanging for the weekend and the menu here had something that appealed to ALL of us.We ordered three sandwiches and after 70 minutes hadn't gotten our food. Four tables that were sat after us ordered and ate (one table paid and left) the same sandwiches we ordered (i asked one of them to make sure my eyes didnt decive me). Even our server told us she didn't know what the problem was before we asked where our food was.To be clear: our server was great. Our drinks were out quickly and she checked on us regularly. At one point she came over to tell us our food would be out soon. We waited another twenty minutes before inquiring again - we had noticed that a table that ordered after us and got their food had ordered more food that was starting to come out - at which point our server, who was visibly embarrassed understood our frustration and our request to pay for our drinks and leave.I'm very upset because my lunches there have been top notch. I was hoping this would be a new date night spot for when I didn't have a gig. I guess not.

We went to The Rook for brunch on a Saturday and weren't disappointed. It's a lovely space, and has an atmosphere to match. The staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient. My wife ordered an eggplant sandwich, and I had one of their exotic cheesesteaks; something I would never normally order, but it was the right time and place. My sandwich was huge, decadent, and delicious, but my wife loved her sandwich too, and said that the sweet potato fries were "the best she'd ever had." Let me tell you, this is praise indeed.Highly recommend!
