There were no tables available when we got there in the afternoon so we ordered takeout. We split a Philly cheesesteak and a kale salad. Both were delicious but would have liked more cheese on the cheesesteak. I can't wait to try the breakfast there and actually sit down at a table, as the atmosphere is so cozy and sweet.

We just introduced our son to the tasty. We were in Philly for a birthday party The night before. The vegan options were OK, but just a bunch of vegetables. So we woke up, really, really hungry. My son can eat as much as two people. We went to The Tasty and he got the spinach and sausage omelette. He was absolutely full. He loved it and we all thought the omelette was flavorful and moist and puffy. Absolutely love this place! The decor is 1950s diner. I mean a real time. That's some Fakear diner with waitresses and poodle skirts. The service is fast and everyone is just lovely.

Years ago, my family would frequent The Tasty and always had a great experience. As time progressed, my family changed, and I wasn't sure if I could walk through the door without memories and emotions flooding me. Well, the magic of The Tasty guided me through to make this experience as wonderful as those from the past. Thank you for providing exceptional food, amazing service, and an awesome atmosphere. Until we meet again...

This was such amazing cool vibe place. The diner has old school vibe and staff is Very friendly and nice. I had French Toast and Side of "home fries" . I say "home fries" as was really just cubed potatoes so not home fries I am used to with peppers, Onions, etc. My girlfriend got the special aka The Elvis; Waffle with Coconut Bacon, Peanutbutter Drizzle and Sliced Banana.

Great ‘old school' diner in a regular neighborhood. Really enjoyed what we ate, the French toast and the dirty jersey. And a latte. Great people who own it as well, very welcoming. Thanks!

Skinny, glassed-masked dude turned a group of 9 away Sunday morning. A fine thing to do - but did so tactless and dramatically. I get it, but I've worked in customer service for years, and he could've started with a "how are you". Services are below no one and he told us to get out upon seeing our party to speak to us outside. Altogether a strange experience, though the place seems lovely.

Came to Philadelphia for a weekend get away from NYC and I'm going to miss this place! Had breakfast here two days in a row and the food was amazing! Loved the tofu scramble with sausage (and spicy mayo on the side) and the tater tots were perfection! The pancakes were also great. Kuddos to the chef! She was the only one I saw cooking in the back and the food came out quickly and was so well seasoned. Would come back to Philly just to have breakfast here again :)

Awesome service and so many adorable staff who were very welcoming. Really delicious sweet breakfast items (I tried the french toast and pancakes). Tempeh bacon is thicker and soft (which I prefer crispy usually). But the house fries and tater tots sides definitely hit the spot. Has more of a diner ambiance and vibe, with comfortable seating for small/medium sized groups! Will definitely be back for more!

Super cute spot, staff was friendly and happy to have us. Food was good but I wasn't blown away by the Dirty Jersey. My husband had the Monte Cristo and loved it!

i come so often that they know my order! slightly embarrassing but a testament to my love for their biscuits (i get the bacon gravy). great lattes too- i love when they do housemade syrups!! every employee is so sweet and they all seem to love working there. such a cute diner interior, as well!! they have the vinyl booths and everything. not a lot of seating, so i imagine there would be long waits on weekends, but i've never had an issue getting a spot on a weekday. highly recommend!!
