Wonderful club but not easy to get a membership.
This is my favorite Philly institution. Love the whole staff, Joey’s a mensch. Food you bite and savor, mmmmmmmmmmmMmm. 10/10 already just off these points. What sets it far beyond is its family-style community and badass Italian-American history. Cheers to several more hundred years.
Food was delicious but small servings. We had a reservation so were seated at a table. You get to pick a certain of dishes based on your party size. We had 9 dishes for 4 people, which includes dessert. We decided against dessert and got another pasta instead because we were still hungry since the portions are small. The food is consistent, flavorful, and has more soul than most restaurants, with dishes like octopus, ravioli, meatballs, and ricotta cheesecake receiving high praise. Palizzi is fantastic for dates, casual drinks, or a full-blown meal with friends.
