Adam, our server, was supposedly on his last night of training but he clearly knew what was up because his service was impeccable! Top notch, A+++ The food was super incredible, so tasty and delicious! Delicious drinks, beer and wine! Adam understood the assignment with a 6 year old in tow after getting into town semi-late so he sped the kitchen along and made the night genuinely enjoyable! Tavern is a hidden gem of the Philly food scene and a shining star of eateries in the gayborhood. I eat here 2-3 times a month, I've tried everything on the menu and most of the specials. Everything is fantastic. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. The food is delicous and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Perfect for a date night or a casual night out.
It's a great neighborhood restaurant. Food & service are very good & everyone is welcoming.

Upstairs is a small dance club with no cover but often a line to get in, and the dance floor is packed with good music, much better than most other clubs around. The drinks are strong, typical of a gay bar, making the slightly above-average costs feel worthwhile. Bartenders work super fast and keep everyone refreshed with cold water, especially on hot nights. Whether visiting for a nice meal or a fun night out, The Tavern Philly has something for everyone. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service also make it a popular spot for date nights and family outings alike.
