I loved the crab cake sandwich and garlic parmesan fries. Also had an amazing milkshake. It’s a little expensive though. I love that they have free Narcan, test strips, and menstrual supplies in the bathroom. Staff were all really nice! There’s some bar seating downstairs and ample tables upstairs.

SO OVER PRICED! Bad food, straight up poorly cooked. These people don’t know what a gnocchi is. Bad drinks. For 2 meals and 2 drinks it was $100 OUTRAGEOUS considering the portions of everything.EDITED: still bad

We stopped in for a quick bite and the food was great! Chick’n sandwich was devoured too quickly for a photo, as were half of the shrumps! Everything was delicious and a great portion. Sweet potato fries were perfectly crisped. Everything perfectly seasoned and the shrumps had a nice gentle little kick. Manayunk Mint Chip milkshake was thick and delicious, perfect texture and amount of chocolate chip! The Matcha-tini was lightly sweet, and the drink menu as a whole has so much to offer for every taste! Staff is absolutely exceptional - friendly and attentive! Having a delicious vegan option is one thing but the full zero-proof menu really makes this place a gem. We will definitely be back soon!Vegetarian options: So much to choose from! Get the shrumps!!!Dietary restrictions: Vegan menu with lots of gluten free options! And zero-proof full bar!

Utterly dreadful: the food was awful, so salty to the point of being inedible. Really expensive too!

I love to see more vegan options in NW Philly and Volstead is definitely a great addition. Their loaded cheesesteak fries are delicious I just wish the cheese was layered in the fries so it was just the top layer that gets cheesy. Would love to see more veggie options for sides/starters besides fried food or side salad. The bartender was super nice!

The host was so amazing and friendly. He was very patient with us while we figured out what we wanted to eat - there were just too many delicious sounding options. I'm not a vegan, but you don't even realize you're eating vegan food!

We stopped by with a group of friends, a mixture of people recovering from alcohol and some doing dry January. The staff was super friendly, and knowledgeable about the different n/a and true zero drinks. We also really liked how they pay a living wage to all employees! The food was great. I had the smokehouse burger, and had to double check several times it wasn't really beef. The chik'n meat substitute used in the wings is reasonable but if you've had it before you'll know it is a little different than the real thing. The atmosphere was great, and the place was super clean and comfortable.Parking immediately behind the restaurant was definitely a plus!

The food was quite good. Had the Texas burger. I haven't had steak fries in a long time, so, nice change of pace. Attempting a dry January, so all of the non alcoholic beers and cocktails are really refreshing.

I just decided to go vegan recently. I was book shopping in Manayunk and needed somewhere to grab dinner. Found Volstead on google maps and figured I'd try it out. 100% did not disappoint. The food was extremely good, and they didn't chicken out on the spice for the banh mi. I was VERY impressed with their vast selection of mocktails. I don't think I've ever seen so many options for non-alcoholic beverages before! Probably the thing I'll miss most about going vegan is convenient ice cream and milk shakes. Their Oreo milkshake was so so good! If I ever get a craving, I know exactly where to go!Aside from the food, the staff were all extremely friendly, chatty, and funny. However I think what made me feel most welcome was that the lovely individual who helped me out with my food/drinks defaulted to they/them pronouns with me and I didn't even have to ask. As a trans person, that one was huge. I apologize for not catching your name, but I loved your all green outfit and hair! Very holiday spirit! Haha!10/10 place. Will def be back regularly!Dietary restrictions: 100% vegan with gluten free options

This is the perfect spot to enjoy some food and some zero proof alcohols (whiskeys, beers, mocktails, etc). Very friendly bartender too.
